My Christmas Wishlist!

Hey guys!

I thought I’d write my Christmas Wishlist here for fun :3 I don’t expect anybody to buy me anything on this list, but it’s fun to use your imagination to think about what you’d pick for yourself if you were your own Santa! Heck, I’ll probably end up treating myself to many things on this list in the end anyways!

  1. Lush Eyes Right Mascara:
eyesrightI really want to try this mascara! I love Lush’s makeup, and use the Light Yellow Colour Supplement and the Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Tint pretty much daily! I know that I would use this mascara, and the Oxford Street store has a nice version of Eyes Right that comes in a long tube with a longer mascara wand. Perfect seeing as the Oxford Street store is the quickest one for me to get to!
  2. Lush Independent Eyeliner:
    independent
Again, I’d just love to try more of Lush’s makeup range, because it really seems to work very well for me! It agrees with my skin for the most part, and definitely enhances my more positive facial features whilst dulling down the more negative ones. Also, I haven’t used liquid eyeliner in so long and I feel like having one from Lush would encourage me to be a bit more adventurous with my makeup! All I use at the moment is foundation (which I never used before obtaining it from Lush, and now I could hardly live without it,) and a lip tint (never used to use bold colours and again, couldn’t go without using it now!)
  3. Lush Emotional Brilliance Translucent Powder:
    emotional brilliance.JPG
Another makeup product! I’ve heard so many amazing things about this powder so I’m absolutely dying to try it out! The packaging on the powder I use at the moment always cracks and although the colour is a perfect match to my skin tone, it leaves the texture of my face looking… Meh… I’ve heard that Lush products combine and work best with other Lush products, so I’m really excited to see how Emotional Brilliance Translucent Powder will look on top of my Light Yellow Colour Supplement.
  4. Lush Veganese Conditioner (1kg) :
    veganese
Kinda like the above picture, only a 1kg version 😉 I absolutely adore this conditioner – in fact, it is my favourite conditoner from Lush, and thus my favourite conditioner full stop! I’d love to just stock up and have tons and tons of the stuff so that it will be more cost effective and last me longer before I next need to repurchase any. I also haven’t actually used a conditioner in my hair since… Well… A really, really long time ago (between 6 and 9 months ago…) I’d really appreciate being able to condition my hair with a quality conditioner again!
  5. Eau Roma Water Toner Water (250g) :
    eau roma water
I really, really miss having a toner. Especially THIS toner. A 250g supply would last me far longer than my 100g one did. I just feel like this is such an essential product for me and I hate not being able to use it!
  6. Jason And The Argan Oil Shampoo Bar:
    Jason_argan_oils_web
I haven’t been using a shampoo for a while – ever since my Brazilliant shampoo bar ran out about a week ago. I’ve just been using shower gel in my hair since then! I do have little bits of shampoos here and there, but I’d love a nice fresh shampoo bar 🙂 I’ve never tried Jason And The Argan Oil – but it smells SO good!
  7. A £75 Primark Gift Card:
    Primark Gift Card Giftcardcentre_co_uk
Honestly, I just absolutely love myself some Primark! I find shopping there to be fairly stressful, but very, very fun. They always seem to have something I like and I’m still in search of some new pieces to replace some old items of clothing I have, so a Primark Gift Card would just be absolutely perfect for me! Who doesn’t love doing a good Primark haul?!
  8. Sony Cybershot W830 8x Zoom Compact Digital Camera (Pink) :
    camera
Okay, so the only camera I have really is the camera on my phone – which is decent, but not that great. I’d love to have my first adult dedicated camera! This one just has some really good reviews, and  just seems like a great choice for a first camera to me. I love taking photos and would really like to get even more invested in taking photos and videos!
  9. Casio CTK-1200AD Full Size Starter Keyboard:
keyboardI don’t really know how to play any instruments, but I’m really interested in learning how to play one. I feel like a keyboard would be a nice instrument to begin with!
  10. Ever Us 14ct Yellow Gold 1.50ct Two Stone Diamond Twist Ring:
    ring.png
…Because a girl can dream, amiright?

So, there’s my Christmas Wishlist! Of course, I don’t actually expect to get any of these items – it’s just really fun to make a list! Don’t knock it until you try it. What an insane Christmas that would be though!

What do you want for Christmas? Have you made a Christmas Wishlist? If you have or if you do, please send me the link in the comments below – I find these so fun to look through!

Primark Try On Haul 2017! (No. 1)

Hey guys!

After I found out that I had gotten onto my degree , I decided to treat myself by going shopping in Primark. I didn’t feel confident in the clothes that I owned at the time. Clothing is extremely important! It covers up the majority of your body, and feeling unconfident in your clothing feels pretty crappy. It was about time that I bought some clothes that really make me feel good when I wear them. I prefer shopping in person (as opposed to online shopping) when it comes to clothes – I get to try on the clothes in store, and take them home that same day! I also chose Primark because, well, I need a lot of new clothes, and figured that it’d be best to try Primark first to pick up what I like there before trying other, more expensive stores.

My first trip to Primark was extremely successful! I arrived at the Oxford Street Store (the most popular Primark local to me) on a Wednesday morning (when it tends to be the least busy.) I only went to the checkout once I realised that my basket was in fact, overflowing with clothing items.

Let’s get onto the haul!

Note: I obviously didn’t bother taking photos of separate items that come in a multi-pack when they are identical to each-other (e.g the tights and the socks in this post.)

First off, I bought this absolutely gorgeous “wine” coloured dress! It’s a suedette bodycon, and I absolutely adore it- the colour really drew me in! It’s actually amazing quality too. This dress was £13, and I bought it in a size 10 – I’m around 5 ft 4 and 9st 2lbs for reference. I wore this on my anniversary to see Aladdin in the theatre. It makes me feel very elegant 🙂

Next I picked up this gorgeous dress! It is another bodycon dress in the colour black (they had a nude pink colour option too.) It has a peephole back with a little button, a high neck and a lace-up panel in the front. I really love this one! It cost me £13, and I also got this one in a size 10. It is a really good quality dress made out of nice, thick and comfortable material!

I spotted this gorgeous dress, and just had to get it! It has a really colourful leaf design on it, with a grey background. It also has cold-shoulder sleeves, which I love! It’s in a T-shirt dress style, which makes it really comfortable to wear. This beauty only cost me £3 – reduced from £6. 100% worth the money – it’s going to be absolutely perfect for my trip to Mallorca! I also grabbed this in a size 10.

I bought this pinafore dress in the colour “wine”. It is made out of this thick, corduroy material, and has two nice deep pockets in the front. It is super comfortable and is absolutely adorable! I’ve been wearing it all day today 🙂 It was £12, and I bought it in a size 10. They also had exactly the same pinafore dress in black and pink, and also had a blue denim and black denim version of the dress.

The black T-shirt in the photo was also part of my haul – it was £2.50 and I picked it up in a size 12 🙂 Also of very nice quality – it isn’t see through at all!

Next we have this gorgeous pair of dungarees! How absolutely amazing are they – especially for Primark?! I admit, I hadn’t been to Primark for a while prior to this haul, so my expectations were pretty low. They’ve really upped their game! They are black and have two simple suspender straps at the back, and the legs of the dungarees are in the skinny style. They have a nice big pocket in the front, as well as pockets in the front and back of the jeans. The jeans part of the dungarees also have belt loops – handy! They undo from the straps as dungarees usually do, but also have some buttons on the sides of the jeans to help get the job done. These were £17, and I picked them up in a size 12.

The T-shirt was also part of the Primark haul. It is a warm red colour, and cost £3. I bought this in a size 10. This top is made really well – it has a high neck, and is made of the most cozy material I have ever felt a T-shirt be made from! It is also completely opaque.

The socks were also part of the haul! They are just a pair of plain black trainer socks, that came in a 7 pack for £1.80 – absolute bargain! I got them in a size 4-8.

IMG_5555 (2).JPG
Next up is this adorable Pusheen T-shirt! It’s my perfect T-shirt “My Perfect Weekend – Eat, Blog, Party and Sleep.” Okay, so I’m not big on partying, but I do enjoy having a few drinks over the weekend with my partner if that counts! It cost me £6 (fairly pricey for Primark I must say,) and I picked it up in a size 10/12.

I also picked up the black leggings – they are viscose, full length and were, insanely, only £2.80! I got them in a size 10. These leggings are amazing – they’re completely opaque and are insanely comfortable. I could actually live in these.

Next are these two shirts. The first is a checked boyfriend shirt, and is really oversized and comfy. It is red and dark blue, does up by poppers and has 2 pockets in the front. I picked this up in a size 8, and it cost me £9.

The second shirt is an adorable blush-pink and grey tartan shirt. It also has 2 pockets in thr front, and has these little bits of material so that you can easily roll up the sleeves. It buttons up at the front, and the buttons go down the shirt only partially. The back is longer than the front, and the entire shirt is made out of this really silky, slinky material. It comes with a little spare button 🙂 I bought this in a size 10 and it cost me £10.

Next we have these 3 tops. The first is a bright, warm red v-neck T-shirt. I picked it up in a size 10 and it cost me only £2.50! It’s made pretty well, and isn’t see-through at all.

The second is a cute, peach coloured cami top. This one is made out of pretty thin material, but I still really like it. It only cost £1.80, and I picked it up in a size 10.

The third is actually a very big, oversized T-shirt. I just knotted it up at the front because I thought that looked really nice! It is pink, slightly ombre and made out of a super comfy, distressed material. The material for this one is slightly see-through, but not particularly noticeably, and is still made really well. This one was £2, reduced from £5! I picked it up in a size 10.

Next are these two green coloured T-shirts. The first is a khaki green stretchy T-shirt. I absolutely LOVE this colour – it makes me feel badass. It’s completely opaque, is really comfy and is made pretty well. It cost £2.50 and I picked it up in a size 10.

The second is a teal-green T-shirt. It has a high neck, and is made out of the same super comfy material as the high-neck red T-shirt I bought! This one is pretty see-through though (I apologize that you can see my bra through it…,) which I’m not a huge fan of but is something that could easily be remedied by wearing a nude coloured T-shirt bra underneath it. This one was £3 and I bought it in a size 10.

Next we have this GORGEOUS knitted, warm-red jumper! It has these beautiful cut-out, cuffed sleeves, and is longer in the back. It is pretty thick and comfy, and is really well made. I believe I purchased this in a size 10, and it cost £10.

Next, I picked up 2 pairs of black fishnet tights for £3. I bought them in a size small/medium 🙂

I also bought some black canvas ballerina plimsolls! These have a nice rubber sole, and have a cute little bow on the side of each shoe. These are insanely comfortable and are really well made – I can’t believe these only cost me £3! I bought mine in a size 5.

Last but not least out of the clothing items are the little socks I’m wearing with the plimsolls. They came from a 5 pack of black “footsies” – little socks to wear with ballerina pumps. I absolutely hate getting perspiration from my feet onto my shoes, so these were an absolute must. They’re made just fine, are of pretty thin material, and are fairly comfy to wear – they certainly make wearing shoes much more comfy! I have heard other people having problems with them falling down their ankle, but this doesn’t happen to me at all with these. The 5 pack of black “footsies” cost me £2.50.

Lastly are these little bits and bobs. First we have some 100% cotton, round cosmetic pads. I thought I’d use these with toners and to help cleanse my face 🙂 There are 120 pads in this pack, and it only cost 50p!

Secondly is this 60 pack of hairbands. They are apparently in the colour “yellow” – I just bought the ones that matched my hair colour the closest! They cost £1.

Thirdly is this pack of 5 toothbrush covers/caps. I thought these would be handy for travel, to help prevent external bacteria from getting into our toothbrushes. They cost 80p 🙂 I gave my partner one from the pack to use so that he could bring his toothbrush to work (can’t for the life of me remember why he wanted to do this,) hence why one is missing from the pack.

Finally, we have this nail polish! It’s in the colour “Make Me Blush” – a cute pink colour. It’s a rather large 10.5ml pot! I think this colour nail polish is my favourite to wear – it’s simple, goes with everything and just makes your nails look cute and fresh. This only cost me 90p!

Phew, that’s all for this haul! I apologize for writing so much – I know most people enjoy just reading simple haul blog posts, but I just have so much to say about each item. I really don’t buy myself anything often, so everything I bought really excites me!

I actually have visited Primark 3 times since this haul, and thus have 3 more hauls to come… I swear, Primark is full of so many great items these days! I’m pretty much replacing my old wardrobe of clothes though, so I don’t consider it a massive problem. Honestly, I’m going to keep going until I stop finding items that I really like because I’d really like to stock up, so that I don’t have to go out buying clothes for a long time afterwards.

I hope you enjoyed this haul!

Harry Potter Obsession.

Hey guys!

I’ve been thinking a lot about good ol’ Harry Potter recently. No, not the character, the story. I think this new obsession has stemmed from noticing an increasing number of Harry Potter themed items in Primark.

I’ve already taken the Pottermore wand, Ilvermorny house and Patronus tests, and have a Chestnut wood wand with a Unicorn Hair core 10 1/4 inch and Brittle flexibility, got into the Pukwudgie Ilvermorny house and have the White Mare patronus.

Now, I wouldn’t want to be reppin’ the wrong house, so of course, I had to take some Harry Potter House tests. Basically, they concluded that I’m a Slytherin. Slytherins are pretty epic, there’s no doubt about that, but they’re not really “me”. If any of you have taken the Pottermore House test recently, you’ll notice that not only is the quiz very different to how it used to be, but the questions also seem rather… Random? I don’t see how a lot of them would even relate to a house, and I honestly have no idea how I came out as a Slytherin. I always used to test as a Hufflepuff, and always play acted being Susan Bones when I’d play Harry Potter with my siblings.

I’m going to do a Harry Potter. My response to the sorting hat saying that I’d do well in Slytherin is “You’re Wrong!” I’m a Hufflepuff. A Slytherin would never even want to be a Hufflepuff. PLUS, if you want to get REALLY intense about the whole thing, I believe in MBTI personality types more strongly than I do the Pottermore sorting hat quiz, and each type generally corresponds to a house. In general:

Gryffindors are: ENTP, ENFP, ESTP and ESFP.

Slytherins are: ENTJ, ESTJ, ISTJ and ISFJ.

Ravenclaws are: INTP, INTJ, INFJ and ISTP.

Hufflepuffs are generally INFP, ENFJ, ISFP and ESFJ types.

See, I’m a bloomin’ Hufflepuff! How could anyone resist their cozy, sunlit common room, full of lively plants? I think if I weren’t a Hufflepuff, I sort-of wouldn’t want to be a Hufflepuff. They’re nothing outstanding, they are just pretty passive and observant, and like to keep the peace. If I were a Slytherin, surely I’d be far too ambitious, leader-oriented, competitive and insensitive to want to be a Hufflepuff? If I were a Gryffindor, surely I’d be too competitive, enjoy being in the spotlight too much and be too much of a leader to want to be a Hufflepuff? If I were a Ravenclaw, wouldn’t I be too academically orientated and too competitive to want to be a Hufflepuff?

I dunno. I’m having a little identity crisis here guys.

I think I’m a Hufflepuff.

I have the Hufflepuff socks to prove it.

From Primark obviously.

Have you taken the Pottermore House test? Which house did you get?! Do you agree with your house? If not, why not take the test real quick and comment below what you get – you just have to quickly make an account, and then answer 10 simple questions to be sorted into a house 🙂 C’mon 90’s kids, where ya’ll at?!?!

P.S. I’m a Hufflepuff, not a Slytherin.

Quick Update…

Hey guys!

In my last post I said that I was going to be doing a Primark haul yesterday – which I did! I was there for absolutely ages. The entire experience was pretty exhausting honestly! I went to pay once I realised that my basket was overflowing, but I made sure to get some really good pieces. I made sure to try lots on, and I feel really good in the clothing that I purchased. I’m excited to show you all everything!

Because of how huge the store is, I didn’t manage to really rummage through all of the 4 floors, so I’m likely to be going back next Wednesday for another haul (completely skipped the pyjamma and homeware sections etc.) I may even just keep going back every week until there’s nothing else that I can find! Returning back to the store will also be a good opportunity for me to return anything that I change my mind about.

I’m sorry for not uploading a Primark Haul blog post yesterday – I have SO MUCH to talk about! As I briefly mentioned in one of my weight loss diary blog posts recently, I’ve been unwell. I was completely exhausted after shopping yesterday, and just needed to sleep. Today I’m feeling even worse, but everything I bought is still neatly in Primark bags, and I’ll be sure to bring you guys a haul blog post as soon as I have enough energy to do so! It’s nothing serious, just a pretty bad cold. It’s like my body has gone into panic mode now that the weather has begun cooling down – I HATE the cold!

I Got Onto My Degree! Results + Treats.

Hey guys!

As some of you may know, a couple of years ago I dropped out of my foundation year for Physics and Astronomy, for various reasons. The next year, I applied for University again – and successfully got onto a foundation year for Astrophysics.

I have just completed that foundation year and, finally, I have actually managed to obtain a place on a bachelor degree in Astrophysics!

IMG_5194.jpg

I was pretty worried that I wouldn’t be able to, as I needed to achieve 65% in my Advanced Mathematics module – whereas I only achieved 62%. They’ve given me a chance, and I’m so grateful for that!

Here are my overall results:

IMG_5196.jpg

Here is a breakdown of my results:

IMG_5198.jpg
As you can see, I did pretty terribly in my final Advanced Mathematics exam (43%) – but I did SO WELL in my Statistics exam (90%)!

And here is the interpretation of my results (although this was just a foundation year, so my results this year don’t actual count toward my final grade):

IMG_5197.jpg

When I found out, the first thing I did was to call my partner – he was having some drinks with a colleague after work. That evening when he came home, he had brought me back a GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers, an AMAZING bottle of Rose champagne, and an absolutely DELICIOUS bag of Indian takeaway! What a treat! I just love how much it means to him when I achieve something!

As a treat to myself, from myself, I’ve decided that I’m going to do a Primark haul tomorrow. I’ll be heading down to the all famous Primark on East Oxford Street. My style has really changed over the past few years, and I have a lot of clothes that either don’t fit me right at all, that look bad on me, have become damaged or that I just plain don’t like anymore. I really don’t buy myself clothes very often, so I decided on Primark because if I shop there first, I’ll be able to get a lot of pieces at a low price – pieces that could very well be a lot more expensive elsewhere! I’ll also be able to actually try the clothing items on, and I much prefer high street shopping to online shopping in general!

So, I’ll be heading to the most popular Primark store that I have nearby, and I’m going to get there super early – like for 8:00 AM, so that I can pretty much have the store to myself. I’m so excited! I’m going to really make an effort to choose items that actually make me feel confident, and to not just chuck things in my basket without thinking. I don’t really have a specific spending limit, both because I trust in my ability to only buy the gems I find in the store, and because I genuinely need a LOT of new clothes! I don’t have anything specific in mind that I’m going to look for – Primark could have amazing shoes but rubbish dresses one month, but then have awful shoes and incredible dresses the next.

This is probably going to be the first planned haul I’ve ever done! I’ll of course be writing a Primark haul blog post tomorrow, hopefully with try-on photos, so look forward to that!

Shopping stuff!!!

Hello!

This blog post is going to be all about shopping. 😉

I’ve bought a whole bunch of stuff today and over the past month or so that I would like to show you. First off, I’ve done quite a bit of Christmas shopping both online and in stores, but I won’t be posting about those things here at the slight chance that any if the people who they’re for see this before Christmas.

Here’s some of the other stuff I’ve bought!:

– Some new earphones that have the highest average user rating out of all the earphones on amazon.co.uk! I chose them in the colour pink because I love the colour magenta and thought that the colour of these looked quite similar.

Here is a photo of them:image

They only cost me £10 and work so well! They are called ‘Panasonic RP-HJE120E-P Ergo Fit Ear Canal Headphones – Pink’. 🙂

Next up is my moisturiser. It’s the ‘Olay essentials complete care day fluid’ with SPF 15 for normal/oily skin. I love this moisturiser so much! It leaves your face feeling super soft without leaving it feeling oily at all.

Here is a photo of it:

image

(Sorry about the poor lighting in these photos, I did the best I could!)

Next up are my new nail polishes. They are both little pots from the MUA range. I know people say that they are a cheap brand and that you get what you pay for, but I honestly love these nail polishes. Their consistency is easy to apply, they have a very sleek finish, the colour stays on the nails for a very long time, they come in a variety of colours and they are only £1! The colours I got are ‘Plum Noir’, a gorgeous dark purple berry colour and ‘Fever Red’, a dark blood red which I bought to wear during the festive season, as I’ve just used up my previous red nail polish.

Here are pictures of them both:

image image

Next are my new bracelets. I spotted them in a market stool and couldn’t resist! It was three bracelets for £5 or £2 each . One is a silver metal chain with colourful plastic beads and silver metal butterflies attached, and the other one I got is made from three pieces of pink string, each with purple plastic beads and silver metal feathers attached. I got the first bracelet because I love butterflies (and all other animals), and I got the second bracelet because I love how it has three layers sort of made from the three strings.

Here are pictures of both of them:

image image

Next up is concealer. It’s the ‘Hide and conceal’ by MUA in the colour ‘Fair’. Again, this only cost me £1. It feels quite heavy on, has a medium sort of coverage and is a very pale skin colour with pink undertones. I used this product around my eyes the other day as I get terrible brown patches around my eyes, and the product made the skin around my eyes look washed out and slightly grey. I bought this concealer because my current concealer is quickly running out , which is very irritating considering it wasn’t extremely cheap and considering I bought it very recently.

Here is a picture of the MUA concealer:image

Next is my L’oreal concealer. It is called ‘infallible concealer, anti-dark circles + anti-imperfections, 16hrs’ by ‘L’oreal Paris’ in the colour ’05 Miel Honey’. To start off, this colour is too dark for my skin tone which is my own fault. This was the first time I have ever bought this concealer and I bought it online, so although the colour seemed to match my skin tone most in the photos online, it really doesn’t. The colour difference doesn’t notice once I’ve finished putting on all my makeup though. This shade is a tanned peach skin colour with orangey undertones. This concealer melts into the skin and blends in super easily and leaves a very natural look to the skin. It has very minimal coverage – I need to use three layers of the stuff before it has the desired effect. It is also a very thin stick of concealer and for these reasons it does get used up very quickly – which sucks because it wasn’t cheap.

Here is a picture of this concealer:

image

Next up are some adorable new shoes I bought online! They are gorgeous wedge heeled ‘Mary Jane’ style shoes from the brand ‘Fusion’. They come with a detachable bow on the strap. They are made from velvet material and I got them in the colour black in a size 5. I got these because I think Mary Jane style shoes are adorable, but I find heels too uncomfortable to wear them often, although I am fine with wedges! 🙂 The wedge heel on these are very tall. I spent a while trying to find shoes of this style that come with the detachable bows because they are so cute! I love these shoes because they aren’t super dressy, so I think they would look nice to wear with many different outfits for many different occasions. They cost me £18 on Ebay.com.

Here is a photo of them:

I will just show a couple more things and then I will continue in a different blog post at a later time – I don’t want this post to be too long!

Next up is a long-sleeved thin sweatshirt. I decided to buy this because I had wanted some new jumpers for a long time because I think they look cute with collared tops underneath them. I also decided to buy it because of it’s design! The design is very colourful (pink, yellow, white, blue, black and purple)  and is of space. It was a “one  size fits all” sweatshirt, and although it does fit, it is definitely smaller than I’d have liked it to been. I bought it on ebay.com for £10.

Here is a photo of the sweatshirt:

image

The final item I will show in this blog post is my bunny jumper. It is a very pale pinky peachy coloured fluffy jumper, with three-quarter length sleeves and a black bunny design on the front. I am usually around a UK size 10 but I bought this jumper in a size 14 so that it would be more slouchy and comfy, and so that the sleeves appear full length. I love this jumper to death as I love animals! 🙂 It cost me £14 I believe and was in Primark.

Here is a picture of the jumper:

Okay so that’s the end of this blog post! I hope you found it interesting! 🙂 As I wrote earlier, I will be making another blog post showing more of my new items at a later time. 🙂
