Lush Buy One, Set One Free Bath Bomb Review.

Okay guys, I know, this is a bath bomb from back in March, and I’ve done an absolutely terrible job by having not used it until just a couple of weeks ago. Hey, at least I bought the bath bomb to help support a good cause!

Anyway, this was a bath bomb created to help raise money for the charity Reprieve, who were working hard to help bring Andy Tsege home – an innocent man who had been kidnapped and imprisoned in Ethiopia for 1,000 days on the 20th March of this year.

Before I review ‘Buy One, Set One Free’, I must mention that this bath bomb did become damp while in storage, and I used it as soon as I noticed. This means the bath bomb didn’t perform how it was originally intended to – so bare that in mind when reading this review!

Here is my review for the bath bomb 🙂

Buy One, Set One Free Bath Bomb:

Rating: 5/5*

Cons:

I didn’t find the scent of this bath bomb to be very distinctive. It had sort of a mix of different scent families combined into one, which made it smell a bit confusing to me! If you like very distinctive scents in your bath products, you may not be too fond of the scent of this one.

This bath bomb doesn’t look very exciting. It’s just a very inoffensive, pale orange spherical bath bomb, with a little trip of paper sticking out of the side with information about Andy Tsege and the Reprieve charity on it.

This was an exclusive bath bomb released by Lush around March of this year (2017.) If you really like this bath product, it’s going to be very difficult to stock up on!

I personally wasn’t very keen on the scent of ‘Buy One, Set One Free’ itself. It had a very very sweet, spicy and heady scent to it. It also smelled somewhat smoky and earthy to me. To me the scent was quite strong and again, quite confusing!

This bath bomb left my bath water a yellow colour. I know a LOT of people aren’t keen when a bath bomb turns their bath water yellow – you lot have been warned!

The bit of paper in the bath bomb is a bit of a pain. I only remembered about it last minute when draining my bath water, and it almost got stuck in my drain! It was obviously also wet, so I felt like I couldn’t put it in the recycling and had to throw it away, which I feel is something that goes against Lush’s ethics.

Pros:

Bottom line, this bath bomb was created to support a noble cause, and I think that is more important than how much a person is going to like the product itself honestly. I personally bought this bath bomb purely because it would feel wrong to have not done so! I mean, you get to contribute money toward a good cause, all the while getting a bath bomb as a reward for doing so. Can’t complain with that really!

The scent may not have been entirely to my liking, however it was definitely at least a strong scent! I know a lot of people dislike when Lush products smell weak.

Despite the bath bomb becoming damp in my storage, it held up pretty well honestly, so it’s a well made bath bomb.

I think the colour of the bath bomb is cute – probably because orange has always been one of my favourite colours!

I also actually liked the colour this bath bomb turned my bath water. The colour reminded me of a mix between pineapple and apple juice, or maybe a tropical juice… I found it refreshing!

‘Buy One, Set One Free’ is a vegan bath bomb! 🙂

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, I wasn’t objectively be that fond of this bath bomb, however I was subjectively. If you just care about a bath bomb for the bath bomb, and ethics don’t really concern you too much, then you could very well not like this bath product all that much. If however a good cause and ethics are something that you’re very conscientious about those things, then you’re going to love this bath bomb.

Overall, I’m going to rate Buy One, Set One Free Bath Bomb a 5/5* rating. Personally, the fact that purchasing this bath bomb donates money to a good charity that aims to help other people, and the fact that you get rewarded a Lush bath bomb for doing so are the main factors about this product to me.

Sorry for the ridiculously late review and I’m sorry that I didn’t bring this review to you guys while the bath bomb was still on sale! I hope you enjoyed the review regardless 🙂

Lush From Dusk ‘Til Dawn Massage Bar Review

I bought this massage bar sometime last year – I think it was actually around this time last year to be honest! I only just managed to use it up – here is my review of it!

From Dusk ‘Til Dawn Massage Bar:

Rating: 5/5*

Cons:

This massage bar does smell very strong and very much so of oranges. If you do not like zesty, fruity citrus scents, this massage bar isn’t for you!

The scent of this massage bar was slightly artificial smelling to me. It smelled to me like orange Tango or orange squash or something like that! If you are looking for a more “real” orange scent, don’t try this one!

This massage bar takes AGES to use up! This could be a good thing, or a bad thing. I have this in the cons list for this product because it took me a year to get through, and I got a little bit bored always using the same massage bar! If you like your Lush products to not last TOO long, this one isn’t for you!

I’m not 100% sure that I like the shape of this product… It looks a little… Strange… It is a beige-yellow cone, with a golden tip.

When melted, this bar could get quite greasy. I know it is made of oils, but I found it a little bit TOO oily for my liking.

Pros:

I think this massage bar smelled absolutely amazing! To me, it smelled almost identical to the Celebrate Body Lotion! A very bright and orangey scent. The scent was also strong, which meant that if I left the bar on my bedside table, my whole room would smell absolutely lovely! It makes a brilliant air freshener 😉

I found the scent to be very uplifting, and was a great product to use when I wanted a little nudge to get me up and being productive!

I think the scent of this massage bar works pretty much all year-round. It’s zesty scent works especially well in the Summer time!

I found this massage bar to also make a lovely lotion – especially for legs during the Summer! It gave my legs the most gorgeous sun-reflecting sheen, whilst keeping my skin nourished and smelling divine. Again, definitely one for the Summer!

This product lasts forever. I know I also made this a con, but you definitely get your money’s worth with this massage bar. You won’t need to buy a replacement for around a year!

My partner would massage me with this bar very often, and when melted on my back, it would feel very luxurious! It always left my skin feeling so soft and smooth 🙂

I found the shape of the bar to be good for massages too, as the more pointy end could be used to really put pressure onto any achy knots. If you have a partner that is willing to give you massages, and you have really achy areas in your back, give this bar a go!

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, this was a lovely massage bar. I have hardly any issues with it at all! I think it smelled divine, and was absolutely perfect in the Summer! It made back massages feel even better too!

I’m going to rate this massage bar a 5/5* rating! It really was a lovely product – it was excellent value for money, made massages feel absolutely amazing and it was lovely during the Summer on my legs!

Lush Happy Happy Joy Joy Conditioning Hair Perfume

Happy Happy Joy Joy Conditioning Hair Perfume (100g)

Rating: 4/5*

Cons:

The scent of this conditioner is STRONG. EXTREMELY strong! If you don’t like the scent of flowers then seriously, give this one a miss, because it has an extremely strong floral scent to it.

This conditioner doesn’t go a long way. You need a decent amount of product to truly condition your hair. Not absolutely tons, but definitely not a small amount. This product wont last you very long!

I found this conditioner to make my roots a little greasy. I don’t actually apply conditioner to my roots, but after conditioning my ends, I do sort of spread the product throughout all of my hair. I also comb the conditioner through the entire length of my hair before rinsing it out. Once I used this product in the evening, and the next morning, I have to wash my fringe again before going to college. As I said, I didn’t even apply the conditioner directly to my fringe or roots – only to my ends! If you have a fringe or your hair gets oily quite fast at the roots, I might stay away from this one!

This is an extremely expensive product – the most expensive conditioner that Lush do. I’d advise you try a sample of this conditioner before purchasing it, as a little 100g bottle of it costs £9.95!

Pros:

I personally like the smell of this conditioner a lot. It smells really fresh and makes me feel happy. It reminds me of the outdoors, of nature and of the Summertime 🙂 If you like very natural, floral, outdoorsy scents, you’ll really like the smell of Happy Happy Joy Joy!

After rinsing the product out of the hair, a scent lingers – but not the exact same scent as the product smells in its container. The musky floral scent of the product is hardly present, and instead the scent is much more zesty and citrusy. I think it smells lovely in the hair!

This product did condition my hair very well (almost too well!) My hair felt almost perfectly conditioned after using Happy Happy Joy Joy in face, and I only needed the smallest amount of R&B Hair moisturiser to reach that perfect level. If you are in some SERIOUS need of hydration for your hair, try this conditioner! This finding seems odd to me, considering that most reviews that that this conditioner is extremely light. Perhaps it is because of my hair being extremely straight, very fine and very thin and all natural! Perhaps if you have hair similar to me, you will also find this conditioner to be extremely conditioning!

This conditioner is very natural and it really feels like you are genuinely feeding your hair when you use it. My hair certainly feels healthier after having used this conditioner!

The name… Okay, so it’s just a name, right? But Happy Happy Joy Joy is just such a happy, cute, uplifting name, how could you not love it?!

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, this is an absolutely lovely conditioner from Lush. It just smells so happy, outdoorsy and natural! It also actually works extremely well at conditioning the hair (at least for my hair!) I found this conditioner to actually be TOO conditioning for my fringe area, but only just not conditioning enough for my ends. Considering that I didn’t even actually apply the conditioner to my fringe area, I’m not quite sure how I would be able to find balance with this product! The scent is very strong before rinsing it out – possibly even almost TOO strong. But I do really like it!

Overall, I’m going to have to give this lovely conditioner a 4/5* rating. If it would just leave my fringe and root area a little less oily, I’d probably give it a higher rating!

I hope you enjoyed my review!

Lush Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar Review

Yes, I know. This was a Halloween product for last year, and it is now spring of the following year. I know this review is late. I know I took a long time to use up this product. I know, I know. But hey, at least I used it up, right? Hopefully this review will help someone out when next Halloween range comes about!

I received this as part of a lovely, incredibly gift from my partner on Halloween. I hope you enjoy this review!

Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar:

Rating: 4/5*

IMG_3988 (2)

Cons:

This is a Halloween exclusive product, so if you find that you love it, you might have a lot of trouble repurchasing it! It might not even come back next Halloween…

This bubble bar is GLITTERY. When you hold the bubble bar, you will 100% be left with golden lustre on your fingers. When you put the bubble bar down, the surface it has been placed on will 100% have golden lustre on it afterwards. If you’re really not a fan of glitter, stay away!

The scent of this product is quite smokey , woodsy, spicy, dry and musky. If those aren’t the sort of scents you are into then again, steer away from this guy!

The cinnamon stick sticking out the top of this bubble bar will be left in your bath tub. I forgot that this cinnamon stick was left in my bath tub, so I just pulled the plug out at the end of my bath as per usual, and that was that. Once I remembered about the cinnamon stick later on, I looked in the tub, only to find that the stick had… disappeared… I think it went straight down the plug hole. I really highly doubt this did my drain any good whatsoever! Be careful!

I didn’t find there to be too much pigmentation to this bubble bar – although that could be due to getting 3 uses out of it.

Pros:

I got three baths out of this guy. Yep, 3. And easily at that – if I had any less baths with this bubble bar then I would have felt as though I was being wasteful! This bubble bar produces bubbles SO EASILY!!! Each of my 3 baths with this bubble bar were covered in a thick layer of bubbles. Here are images of each bath:

Bath 1 (bath product, bath before turning on jets, bath after turning on jets:)

Bath 2 (bath product, bath before turning on jets, bath after turning on jets:)

Bath 3 (bath before turning on jets, bath after turning on jets:)

The bubbles this bubble bar creates are incredibly creamy and frothy.

A bath with this bubble bar is extremely warming and cozy.

The concept of this bubble bar is brilliant. It truly looks like a miniature pumpkin covered in golden glitter!

I really enjoyed the scent of this bubble bar. Zesty yet spicy – very up my alley!

I found this bubble bar to definitely be somewhat moisturising. Not extremely so, but somewhat for sure.

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, I think this was a lovely bubble bar, I seriously do. I think it could do with more pigmentation, with being more moisturising and with having a slightly better scent, but it really was rather lovely!

I’m going to rate this guy a 4/5* rating. It was absolutely brilliant, but I still feel I can find a better bubble bar out there that will absolutely blow my socks off!

I hope you enjoyed my review! 🙂

Lush Golden Wonder Bath Bomb Review

I was lucky enough to be given a £100 Lush gift card for Christmas from my partner so of course, I spent it on the Boxing Day sale! I wasn’t super organised though and failed to picture everything and upload a “What I got for Christmas” blog post, but I am going to be making a post on my current Lush stash very soon.

At the Lush store we went to on Boxing Day, all the Golden Wonder Bath Bombs were sold out. Luckily I brought my partner along with me, because while I was grabbing the individual bath bombs, he went and grabbed me the Golden Wonder gift set which of course, includes the Golden Wonder Bath Bomb! I was so chuffed 🙂

I wish I were more organised – I’ve gotten such lovely things over Christmas and also did over my Birthday, and I would have loved to have blogged about them!

Anyway, here is my review of the Golden Wonder Bath Bomb 🙂 I hope you enjoy!

(I’m sorry in advanced for the terrible quality of the photos I have uploaded. My laptop has gone for repair so the only way I could edit photos and transfer the edited copies onto wordpress was through messenger, which really has killed the quality!)

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

Rating: 4/5*

Cons:

This is a Christmas Exclusive item so, if you happen to absolutely love it, you’re going to have a tough time getting your hands on it during the rest of the year!

The scent… Okay, I get that it shares its scent with Celebrate Lotion etc, but honestly? It was just such a weak scent, and didn’t linger for me at all. If you are expecting a strong scent from this one then you are going to be very disappointed.

It is SO glittery! Anytime I held this bath bomb before using it, my finger tips would be absolutely coated in golden lustre. It was a bit of a pain!

Okay so this is a weird con but hey, maybe I’m a bit of a weird girl. The colour bothered me. Not because of the colour itself, but to me the bath water genuinely looked like a sea or ocean, and that sort of terrified me. I’m really scared of sharks, so sitting in a bath of water that makes me feel as though I’m in the middle of a tropical sea or ocean somewhere was sort of unsettling. It was especially creepy because I was the only one awake at the time and it was in the early hours of the morning (maybe around 3am…) Maybe if you have a similar sort of fear, you should steer away from Golden Wonder!

This bath bomb was very residue-y. I wish I had rinsed off in the shower after taking a bath with this bath bomb but honestly, my fear of sharks just sort of caused me to shoot out the bathroom ASAP! I was really freaked out! Anyway, the gold stars that are released by this bath bomb were sort of buttery, and also left residue around the bath tub. Basically, some additional rinsing of both the bath and yourself will be required after bathing with Golden Wonder.

The rattle or whatever the surprise is meant to be in the center…? I didn’t hear anything at all when I shook the bath bomb around.

Pros:

I think this bath bomb looks absolutely gorgeous! It is a beautiful yellow-golden package with a lovely cream coloured big bow on the top. It is also really big! It definitely looks very special for a bath bomb.

This bath bomb fizzed away quite nicely. It was a fast-medium fizzer.

Almost straight after the bath bomb began fizzing away, the only part of the bath bomb that was visible above the water was the cream coloured bow, which I thought was adorable! It looked really cute just seeing a cream bow travelling around the bath as it fizzed away.

The colours of this bath bomb are lovely. Beautiful golden yellows, creams, blues, pinks… Super pretty!

This bath bomb made the bath water genuinely look like a tropical sea/ocean somewhere. If that sounds like your kinda thing, absolutely go for it!

The scent was nice and fresh.

The golden stars released were really cute!

I found this bath to be somewhat moisturising.

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, I didn’t like this bath bomb all that much… The colour of the water sort of scared me, the bath bomb left behind residue, the scent was very weak… It’s a real shame, because I think that the bath bomb looked so beautiful before putting it in the bath, and I really think this is one that has a lot of potential. Perhaps I just shouldn’t have used it in the middle of night to prevent my mind from wondering too much.

Overall, I’m going to rate this bath bomb a 4/5* BECAUSE my partner found it for me in the store and it was a gift from him, and I definitely think it is overall a really nice bath bomb! I think I just used it at a rubbish time of the day to be honest, otherwise I’m sure I would have had a better experience with it. Although, the scent was definitely somewhat of a let down!

Lush Over And Over Bath Bomb Review

Over And Over Bath Bomb:

Rating: 4/5

Cons:

This bath bomb leaves a heavy residue on the surface of the bath water, which clings to skin somewhat and 100% clings to the sides of the bath. I had to use a household cleaner to cut through the oils and wash off this residue! If that sounds like a hassle to you, I’d advise against trying this bath bomb!

This is a very limited item. I got it from Lush Oxford Street and it had just been made in the kitchen at the time. If you happen to get your hands on this bath bomb and absolutely love it, be warned – there’s a fair chance you won’t get to try it again!

The finished result of this bath bomb was underwhelming. Because of how exclusive it is, I had hoped it would provide a more exciting display or a more nourishing bath or something special! It was very simple. Some people might like that, others may not so much.

This bath bomb is super citrussy. Now, I like citrus scents, but I know some of you won’t. Steer away if you are one of those people!

My bath bomb developed a crack in it after not having it for too long, so they are very delicate. I had never even dropped it!

This bath bomb is a super, super, super slow fizzer. I personally prefer fast fizzers because I like to watch the entire display from the bath bomb before getting in myself, and I’m quite an impatient person! I know some people do prefer the slow fizzers, but for those that don’t, you’ve been warned!

The scent changes once it is in the bath. Initially, it smelled strongly of lemons to me, but once in the bath it smells more like orange flavoured lollipops – a super sweet orangey scent.

Again, you’d expect this bath bomb to be super moisturising but somehow it just isn’t really! I mean it is, but not as much as say Butterbear.

The scent that this bath bomb produces doesn’t cling at all, so don’t expect it to!

Pros:

The bath bomb being dipped in cocoa butter or whatever butter it is does make it interesting. The novelty of it is definitely fun and exciting. It’s nice to try something very new and different! Worth a try at least once I reckon.

The colours are so vibrant and pigmented. This bath bomb creates a display of bright orange, pink and yellow in the bath. It leaves your bath looking a bit like a sunset! Very pretty and warming colours.

I personally think this bath bomb smells absolutely gorgeous. After I had bought it, I left it in its paper bag on our coffee table for a couple of weeks before using it. Those entire 2 weeks, my room smelt absolutely amazingly of zesty lemon! It is by far the strongest scented Lush product I have purchased so far (in terms of how it smells before use.) After putting it in the bath, the scent develops into a very sweet orange smell, which is also lovely.

If you can get your hands on one of these, the fact that it is so exclusive makes it quite fun and exciting to use. It really does make your bath feel that much special!

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, this was a fun bath bomb to use, and I am very glad I gave it a good go. I think the colours and scent were absolutely wonderful but honestly, other than that…? It just didn’t really DO that much for me. It wasn’t very moisturising when I really was expecting it to be, considering it is dipped in I think cocoa butter?

It also fizzed away incredibly slowly. Like, the display lasted anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes to finish… Definitely a big no-no for me! It was a very pretty display but honestly, after a good few minutes, I just want to get in the damn bath (unless the display is incredibly beautiful – I could watch Intergalactic fizzing for a loooooooong time!)

I’m going to rate this bath bomb a… and I hate to say it for the billionth time… but it has to be another 4/5*! I know, I know, how predictable of me. I don’t know why but every Lush product has just been a 4/5* for me recently!

I intend to use a bath bomb tonight – really need a good bath to help me relax a little… Let’s hope that one is a 5/5!

Lush Karma Komba Shampoo Bar Review

Karma Komba Shampoo Bar

Rating: 4/5

Cons:

The scent of this shampoo bar is quite heady and heavy, and I could imagine it making some people not feel great. If strong incensey scents don’t agree with you, don’t try this shampoo bar!

This shampoo bar runs out very quickly and sticks to its container very easily. This means that you get less uses out of this shampoo bar than a lot of the others that Lush make. I believe this is because this shampoo bar is quite soft.

It’s green! The residue this bar leaves behind could definitely be mistaken for mould in some cases, and it is a bit of an odd colour for a cleansing beauty product!

This bar has a flower stuck in it, and when the shampoo bar runs out, this flower will just fall down the plug hole… I’m not too sure that this is good for drains… I feel like it might help clog them up!

The flower in the shampoo bar is sort of, well, dead.

I found this shampoo bar to be slightly more difficult to lather up than others from Lush that I have tried.

I don’t know why, but the scent reminds me a bit of school… and exams… I think it’s because I first started using this shampoo bar when I began sitting my exams in May this year. Either way, that was definitely a con for me!

Pros:

I think the colour is generally quite nice. It is unusual, but it being green makes it appear more herbal, healthy and natural. I think the colour is quite fun for the most part!

The smell is definitely interesting – an exotic, zesty, incensey sort of a scent. It sort of smells… mystical, alluring… I don’t know. It’s really nice though, even if it is a little heavy!

This shampoo bar lathers up quite nicely, even if it does take longer than other shampoo bars to do so. It is more of a creamy lather, which I think is why it takes a bit longer to lather up. The lather definitely feels healthier for the hair than, well, possibly every other shampoo I have used from Lush come to think of it. If you are looking for a softer, gentler, conditioning shampoo, I’d give this one a try for sure!

A product from Lush that is vegan, cruelty free, all natural and handmade – give it a go!

The flower, although dead, is still a cute little addition to the shampoo bar.

It cleaned my hair very well.

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, this is a nice shampoo bar. It is very unique, and I could see it working really well for some people.

Overall, I give this shampoo bar a rating of 4/5* rating. I know it seems like I give everything that rating recently, but it’s just my honest opinion of these products! I guess I just generally think that most Lush products are very, very good, but not perfect. Either way, I love trying every single one of them so much!

I actually used up a bath bomb before this shampoo bar, but the photos of it are on my phone which is why I decided to do this Karma Komba review first. That review will be up very shortly though!

Lush Pumpkin Bath Bomb Review.

Heya!

I have been extremely fortunate and on Halloween my partner came home with a Halloween gift set from Lush for me! How lucky am I!?!

Today I will be reviewing the Pumpkin bath bomb – the most Halloweeny product that Lush do in my opinion, hence why I used it on Halloween night 😉

I hope you enjoy!

Pumpkin Bath Bomb

img_2365-2

Rating: 5/5

Cons:

This bath bomb is very Halloween themed, so it may feel odd to use it on a different occasion! It’s design is that of a Jack-O-Lantern.

The smell, to me, is ideal for Autumn. This means that using it during other times of the year could feel a little out of place.

The scent is very strong and smoky. If you don’t like very smoky smells, this one isn’t for you!

This is also a very sweet and citrus smelling bath bomb so again, if you do not like sweet or citrus scents, steer away from this guy!

There are only two pigments in this bath bomb, so there aren’t a great multitude of colours produced by Pumpkin.

The strong scent can get a little bit sickly.

This is a Halloween exclusive product, meaning it is not sold year round. That means if you really like this bath bomb, you might find it difficult to purchase later on in the year! Not only that, but there isn’t even a guarantee that he will return next year.

Pros:

This guy is PERFECT for Halloween! The scent, the colour, the design… Ughhh! So perfect for getting you in a spooky Halloween mood 😉

The colours let off by this bath bomb… Wow! This bath bomb lets of extremely bright yellow and orange colours into the bath water the INSTANT that it makes contact. Absolutely brilliant!

At one point during the process of the bath bomb fizzing away, I swear my bath water looked like a tub filled with Orange Tango or Orange Juice… SO vibrant!

img_2373-2

This bath bomb also creates bath art. The design involved white foam and bright orange swirls, somewhat resembling a Creme egg…

I really like the smell. It smells… very very sherbetty and sweet, but also quite spicy and smoky. It smells VERY smoky in fact – it sort of reminded me of the smell of a bonfire or something. I really enjoyed it, definitely a unique and special scent that would be difficult to find or replicate.

The scent stayed in my hair for a while – around 24 hours! Really pleasant!

The design of this bath bomb is really, really cute…

This is a fast fizzer, so no long waits for it to finish doing its thing. I definitely prefer fast fizzers so far!

This bath bomb ultimately leaves the water a sort of clear orange colour – sort of like the fizzy drink Irn Bru… I have no clue why food and drink items come to mind whenever I use a bath bomb, I don’t even drink them very often at all. Regardless, this colour of water again is quite unique and I really enjoyed bathing in it!

This was part of a Halloween gift to me, so I can say from personal experience that he makes a brilliant gift for Halloween.

This bath bomb actually reminded me A LOT of the ever so popular Dragon’s Egg bath bomb. The scent was similar in a lot of ways, the design on the water was very, very similar – only Pumpkin’s design covered more surface of the bath water. Pumpkin’s scent is like a smoky version of Dragon Egg’s. Pumpkin was a much faster fizzer though but I personally much prefer that. The water felt pleasant but wasn’t very moisturising – so not much different from Dragon’s egg. I personally think Pumpkin is Dragon’s Egg’s better half!

A fast fizzer!

A vegan Lush product!

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, Pumpkin was an absolute pleasure to use. I wish I could buy one of these for every day of Autumn next year! The scent is just gorgeous, the colour too… The whole experience with this bath bomb was a very pleasant surprise! I had really wanted to try this bath bomb simply because of the very Halloweeny design of it, but the bath bomb turned out actually be amazing!

Overall, I rate this bath bomb a 5/5* rating! The scent can get slightly sickly but it was just absolutely perfect for Halloween, and is definitely a product I’d recommend stocking up on for Autumn next year!

Lush Dragon’s Egg Bath Bomb Review.

Hey guys! Today is another bath bomb review, as my partner blessed me with 4 new awesome Lush bath products to try out on my birthday!

I hope you enjoy!

Dragon’s Egg Bath Bomb

Rating: 4/5*

Cons:

This is an extremely slow fizzer. If you are the type of person who likes to watch fully what the bath bomb does before getting into the bath, this one will leave you waiting for a LONG time!

This bath bomb wasn’t super fancy with its display. It was interesting, but worth waiting 10 odd minutes to see..? Not so sure!

The bath looks prettier whilst the bath bomb is fizzing than the actual finished product. The patterns sort of die down a bit in waiting process for the last bit of bath bomb to finish fizzing.

The bath water wasn’t left an amazing colour. Just a sort of orangey colour.

The scent didn’t cling to my skin or hair at all after using this bath bomb.

Pros:

The name, the concept. This bath bomb is bloody awesome. It really does look like how you’d imagine a dragon’s egg to look – it is white and speckly and is orange on the inside. Trying out this bath bomb is such a fun experience!

The smell is so nice. It smells like spicy yet sweet orange. Imagine the spiced apple scent that is popular around this time of year, only for orange instead of apple. It smells SO good.

The patterns that the bath bomb make sort of looks like the inside of one of those chocolate creme eggs you get around Easter time. It looks really cool!

I got this as a gift and it was really lovely to receive.

This bath bomb was quite moisturising – not as much as Butterbear, but still quite moisturising!

The bath water was left filled with clouds of gold lustre. It looked super gorgeous and magical.

This is from Lush!!! And is vegan!!!

Overall conclusion:

Overall, I like the idea for this bath bomb a lot, and the scent is lovely. I quite liked the pattern the bath bomb left in the water and I loved the glitter. It did take SO LONG to finish fizzing though!

This was a nice bath bomb, and one I’m glad to have experienced. It did take too long to fizz away for my taste though, and wasn’t all that fancy.

I’m going to rate this bath bomb a 4/5* rating. Definitely one that is worth a try!

Lush Sunrise Review

Hello! Today is my review of Lush’s soap product called “Sunrise”. It was a mother’s day exclusive product earlier this year. Let’s begin!

Sunrise

Rating: 5/5*

Cons:

If you want to get this soap, I must warn you that it becomes very… slippery… toward the end of it’s days. The last chunk of my soap (I suppose an inner piece compromising of a lot of murumuru butter…) literally slipped out of my partners hand and down the drain while he was using it. If you think slippery soaps sound like a pain, this one isn’t for you!

The scent sort of fades with time. I have had this soap since Mother’s day (approximately 7 months ago now!) and only just finished using it up, but its fragrance has certainly been extremely mild for the past couple of weeks – in fact, I could hardly smell any sort of fragrance at all coming from this soap over the past couple of weeks.

This soap can become really difficult to lather up toward the end. When it gets to the point where it is quite small, it is mostly murumuru butter, and that by itself really isn’t a strong latherer.

Even when this soap was larger, I distinctively remember it slipping out of my hands and landing on the floor or into the sink several times. I don’t know what it is about the soap, it is just super slippery in general!

When using this soap toward the beginning, the lather is quite syrupy and has a very strong yellow-orange colour to it. It does wash off completely when you rinse your hands, but such a strong coloured lather does put me off a little bit. I’m not sure why – I think it is because it makes me feel like my hands are possibly less clean, or maybe it is because I am scared that some of the pigment will remain and stain my hands slightly after rinsing off the lather.

The soap changes from a vibrant fruity translucent orange colour, to a more soapy and opaque pale orange colour the more you use it. It definitely changes in appearance toward the end of it’s days in comparison to when it is initially bought. This is fine, but just be warned that it won’t stay looking like a sparkly semi-orb of wonder forever!

This soap is quite soft, so when it does drop on the floor at any point (and it will…) it will sustain some battle wounds, aka dents. I never had any of my soap actually break off, and the denting didn’t personally bother me too much, but it might bother some.

Pros:

This soap does smell really nice when you first get it – like orange flavoured lolly pops. It really is a lovely smell!

The colour is such a vibrant orange, it really is a beautiful looking soap. If you like the colour or the fruit orange, this soap is definitely one for you! 😉

This soap is made to look absolutely incredible with its gorgeous lustre running through it. The lustre really shows once you have used the soap and it is wet. It is a golden lustre and I really cannot describe how beautiful it looks in this semi-spherical shaped soap, but it really does look amazingly beautiful and magical!

The soap starts off washing your hands like a fairly standard soap from Lush – it lathers up okay and the lather is rather syruppy in texture. As you use the soap more and more, the lather gradually becomes more smooth and creamy, due to the murumuru butter in the centre. The mix of the initial cleansing lather of the soap and the creamy lather further on in the soap really makes this product a great one in my opinion.

The ingredients are all natural, the product is handmade, is vegan and from the incredible company Lush! Just that makes this product a win in my books. I know I say that in almost every review but it comes from the heart every single time. I truly believe it is worth it – to the customer, the company and all the organisations that the company helps – for people to buy and try out Lush’s beautiful products!

This soap was a Mother’s day release, and I bought one for my own Mummy. I think it made a wonderful gift as it lasts a very long time and is an all natural product – it feels nice knowing that my gift to my mother will not harm her in any way shape or form. I think this soap would make an amazing gift to almost anyone in fact – my partner even thoroughly enjoyed using, so it’s definitely one for the men too!

This is a very unique soap and I think it is one that is definitely worth at least a try.

This soap’s colour, name and well, just everything about it to be honest, really puts a smile on my face. It is a super happy soap!

The semi-spherical shape of this soap makes it fit really nicely in the palm of your hands, and makes it look different from all of Lush’s other soaps.

I really enjoy the concept of this soap. I love that it is called sunrise, looks like a sunrise and smells how you’d imagine a sunrise would smell on a warm summer’s day in some southern European country like Spain. It is a soap with a very warming feel to it (not literally, just emotionally.) Definitely worth a try!

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, this is a really nice soap. It reminds me of my youth actually – my favourite colour for approximately the first 13 years of my life was orange. This soap being such a happy one also reminds me of being a child, most children seem quite happy right?

I enjoy the smell of this one – not too sweet, just a subtly sweet orange scent. It looks absolutely incredible, the most beautiful Lush soap I have reviewed yet, due to that gorgeous orangey golden lustre in there!

I’m not so keen on the soap at all as it gets nearer to the end of it’s days, but I really enjoyed it for around 2/3 of the time I used it.

Overall, I rate this gorgeous soap a 5/5* rating. It has it’s faults, but the concept and beauty of this soap, as well as all it’s other pros, have really won me over this time!

Join me for another Lush review in just a moment, where I will be reviewing the infamous Angels on Bare Skin!
