Lush Rose Jam Bubbleroon Review

Hey guys!

I received this Lush product as part of a gift from my partner for my birthday last October, and decided to finally use it for Valentines day before it went bad! I hope you enjoy my review 🙂

Rose Jam Bubbleroon:

Rating: 5/5*

The scent of this bubbleroon is NOT exactly the same as the scent of the Rose Jam shower gel. When in the bath, the scent of this bubbleroon has quite an apparent tangy citrus note to it, which is far more subdued in the shower gel. The ingredients do differ quite a bit between the two products. For example, the shower gel contains vanilla pod infusion as its second top ingredient, giving the shower gel a very sweet aroma throughout use. The bubbleroon however does not even contain any vanilla whatsoever. The shower gel also contains Gogi berry juice, whereas the bubbleroon does not. The difference isn’t extremely major, but it is noticeable when the product is in the bath. Just don’t expect the scent to be EXACTLY the same as Rose Jam shower gel, and instead expect a version of Rose Jam that has a little less sweetness and a little more of a kick to it.

Not only is the scent of this product different to Rose Jam shower gel, I think it is also less nice in my opinion!

I needed to use the entire bubbleroon in one go to get the amount of bubbles I like when I take a bubble bath. Honestly, I forgot to put the bubbleroon under the tap until my bath was already almost full, so I don’t think it had as much of a chance to bubble up as my bubble bars from Lush usually do! None the less, I was surprised I had to use the entire product to get a nice bubbly bath.

After using a bubble bar from Lush, and many times after using a bath bomb too, I find I have to rinse off in the shower afterwards in order to feel completely clean. This bubbleroon was no different, and that additional step can be a little tedious when you’ve already been in the bath for 1-2 hours!

This bubbleroon looks so adorable! It is the sweetest bubble bar I’ve ever used! It is a beautiful macaroon style with a gorgeous glittery rose design on the top of it! As cute as a button 🙂

This bubbleroon is really moisturising. All of that cocoa butter frosting in the center, along with all the oils they add to the bubbleroon, produce a lovely, moisturising bath. Highly recommend!

The scent, although not as nice as the Rose Jam shower gel, was still alright in the bath. Nothing incredibly amazing, but it was alright.

Out of the bath, this bubbleroon smells amazing!

The entire experience with this bubbleroon is really feminine – a gorgeous rose macaroon style bubble bar that produces a fluffy bubbly girly scented pink bath! I used mine on Valentines day and it suited the mood of the day absolutely brilliantly. It really made me feel more feminine than usual and is definitely a romantic bubbleroon too!

The bath water produced from this bubbleroon will be a rosey pinky red colour, which for some reason reminded me of the colour of pomegranate juice! It is definitely more of a pinky red than a reddish pink, if that makes any sense at all. Either way, I thought the colour was absolutely gorgeous!

The bubbles this bubbleroon produce make the bath extra relaxing. The bubbles themselves are fluffy and fill the entire bath tub (at least if you have bath jets and use them like I did.)

The whole concept and scent and absolutely everything about this bubbleroon made me feel super pampered and lovely!

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, I really enjoyed this bubbleroon. It is an absolutely amazing product, and the only real improvements I could suggest for it would be for it to be made bigger and for its scent to be made a little closer to the shower gel’s.

I’m going to rate this bubbleroon… Hmm, this is actually difficult. It is either a 4 or 5/5* rating. I love how moisturising it is, and the whole pamperesque experience of using this bubbleroon. It is just the scent that makes me think perhaps the product is more of a 4* than a 5*. I’m going to give it a 5/5* rating, because although the scent in the bath wasn’t great, the positive aspects of this bubbleroon far outweigh that factor.

I hope you enjoyed my review! I HIGHLY recommend trying this bubbleroon or gifting one to a loved one. It is lovely!

Lush Jumping Juniper Shampoo Bar Review

Jumping Juniper Shampoo Bar:

Rating: 5/5*

Like all shampoo bars, this does leave a bit of a mess in whatever tray you store it in. Particles of purple shampoo bar seem almost permanently welded to my square lush tin that I kept this shampoo bar in!

To me, this shampoo bar smells sort of like a good ol’ gin and tonic – something I’m sure is not everyone’s cup of tea!

The smell didn’t cling to my hair at all, and because I personally enjoyed the scent, this was a con for me.

This shampoo bar is an online exclusive, so you’ll have to do an online shop and pay for postage to get your hands on one of these!

This lathers up like crazy. This is the shampoo that lathers more than any other I have tried from Lush (Jumping Juniper is at least the fifth that I have tried!) You can literally see the foam collecting around the plug hole as you wash it out of your hair. It is absolutely incredible!

This lasts for ages!

The colour is super pretty.

I really like the smell – it smells like gin and tonic to me, so basically a sort of slightly peppery lemon/lime scent. It is really refreshing and interesting 🙂

This definitely washed my hair absolutely brilliantly.

This shampoo bar was the least awkward. What I mean by this is that the shampoo bar stayed in its form until it became very small, at which point the separate pieces still sort of stuck together, so it wasn’t very difficult to use at all.

My hair always felt lovely using this shampoo bar. It says it is very cleansing, and although it did clean my hair very well, it certainly did not strip it. I haven’t even been using a conditioner for quite a long time, yet this shampoo would leave my hair so shiny and silky and smooth and lovely – especially with second day hair!

I even got my partner into using this shampoo over his regular one – I convinced him that it was quicker and easier to use than regular shampoo and after trying it, he saw that I was telling the truth. As far as I know, he has used shampoo bars since 🙂

This washes out very nicely. You do need to rinse it out quite thoroughly, but it definitely washes out faster than regular shampoo.

Overall conclusion:

Overall, I could not possibly give this shampoo a poor rating after what it has done for my hair. It just was such value for money – it lathered insanely well and really left my hair feeling lovely. It wasn’t anything extremely special, but it did it’s job very well – what more could you ask for from a shampoo?

I’m going to give this shampoo bar a rating of… hmm… I couldn’t give it any less than 5/5*. Although it is a simple product and doesn’t have a specific exciting theme (like Seanik for example,) it just did its job so, so well. I really enjoyed it!

Lush Beautiful Shower Gel Review

Hey guys!

Today is my first review for one of Lush’s shower gels! I have a lot more soaps from Lush than shower gels, which is why I review soaps more often. I have actually almost completely stopped purchasing products from Lush so that I can get through my current stash a little!

As always, I only review a Lush product once I have used it up completely, and always state the product’s size that I used where there are varying size options. I only review products after using the product up completely because I feel that this way, I have a fully informed opinion of the product.

I hope you enjoy!

Beautiful Shower Gel (100g)

Rating: 4/5*

This shower gel lasts forever! Some people might actually consider this to be a bad thing, as they might become bored of using the same product for so long. I received my little 100g bottle of this shower gel in a gift box for Christmas, and only just managed to use it up about a week ago. I have been using other soaps etc since Christmas other than this shower gel, but I would still guess that it has lasted me around 2 months. That’s an incredibly long time considering I shower daily and considering that this is just a 100g bottle! If a 100g bottle of this gel lasts ~2 months, a 250g bottle would last ~5 months, a 500g bottle would last ~10 months and a massive 1kg bottle would last ~20 months!

This shower gel has an interesting smell to it. It has almost a slightly dish washing liquid smell to it… Perhaps not the smell of something that everyone would want to be washing themselves with!

It can become difficult to get the product out of the bottle after a while, because of the gel being so thick. I had to really squeeze my bottle very hard to get product out at one point, and after that point, I had to resort to adding some water to the gel to thin it out a little bit. This can be somewhat irritating, but isn’t a huge problem.

This shower gel does not spread evenly when using it on a loofah/sponge etc. When you squeeze some onto your loofah and spread it around, there will be a yellow coloured concentrated patch of the shower gel right where you initially placed it, which will be almost impossible to disperse around the loofah completely. This probably means that some product is wasted, as it gets stuck in the loofah until rinsed out.

I honestly do not smell the peach scent whatsoever to this shower gel, and it doesn’t really smell fruity to me or refreshing in any way at all – if you want to buy this shower gel based on it’s scent, you definitely have to smell it in store first to avoid any possible disappointment!

The bottle cap of this shower gel is extremely fragile. I dropped the bottle at one point by accident in the bathroom, and the top of the lid snapped right off, and broke into lots of little pieces! Again, not a massive problem, but still a little irritating.

This shower gel smells very heavily of Myrrh, so if you find the scent to be a little overpowering, this is not the shower gel for you!

Sometimes on the rare occasion, I would have to re-lather up my loofah, because the initial lather wasn’t enough to spread across my entire body. It can be a little difficult sometime to determine how much shower gel is too little and how much will be too much!

This shower gel is full of gold lustre. It is dispersed throughout the shower gel incredibly evenly, and does not settle at the bottom of the bottle at all. It is absolutely beautiful and looks so magical, and makes you feel really special whilst using it!

This shower gel is a gorgeous amber colour in the bottle, and when dispensed, becomes a vibrant and deep marigold yellow colour. The colour of this product reminds me a lot of marmalade actually – an amber colour in the bottle and a much more yellow colour when spread more thinly. I think the colour of this shower gel is beautiful!

The shower gel is called ‘Beautiful’. A shower gel with that name is bound to make you feel good when you use it!

On the shower gel bottle, there is a little hidden message going down the side that reads ‘Smile!’. How cute is that?! 😀

No glitter will cling to your skin after rinsing this shower gel off, which for some people is definitely a plus!

The bottle that this shower gel is made out of is 100% recycled!

In general, this shower gel lathers up extremely well.

This shower gel leaves your skin feeling very smooth, clean and quite moisturised too.

The scent lingers on the skin for a good amount of time, which is something I definitely love.

This shower gel is handmade and is made from natural ingredients, is vegan, has not been tested on animals, is environmentally friendly and is from the awesome company Lush! What more could you ask for?!

I received this shower gel as part of a gift from my partner myself, and definitely see this product as making a beautiful gift for anyone.

The product lasting a long time could definitely be a pro to some people – this little bottle will last you around 2 months! In general, a little goes a long way – although learning this amount definitely takes practice.

Overall conclusion:

Overall, I quite like this shower gel. It is a really nice idea, and really does make you feel more beautiful and happy when you use it. I personally have preferred other scented Lush products than this, but it doesn’t smell bad. It is quite an incensey smell I guess – it isn’t sweet or fruity at all. I do still think it smells good, I just possibly think my nose is generally more drawn toward other types of scents to this.

The bottle cap breaking was also a little annoying, but not a big deal. I definitely really enjoyed receiving this shower gel as a gift. I haven’t really given any of the other shower gels a good try.

I think I’ll rate this product a 4/5*, which is what seems to be the rating that every product is getting recently but I promise this is not on purpose! I love this shower gel, but I definitely would prefer a different scent I think. Other than that, it truly is a beautiful shower gel!

Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub Review.

Hiya! 🙂

Today is a review of Lush’s ‘Mint Julips Lip Scrub’.

I hope you enjoy!

Mint Julips Lip Scrub:

Rating: 4/5

This lip scrub tastes a bit too good – I found myself nibbling on it every now and then! This means that obviously the product runs out a lot quicker and that you kinda get less bang for your buck than you might at first think you will. Basically, for what the product is, I actually find these lip scrubs to be incredibly expensive – whether they are filled to the brim or not!

This scrub gets just about everywhere when you decide to use it. It will end up all around your lips, possibly your chin, your lap if you are sitting down at the time and whatever surface you are sitting on. This is a messy product!

The product does not taste the same way that it smells. It smells like some sort of minty milk chocolate to me, but tastes like mint flavoured sweets. This can be a bit disappointing!

The product smelling so good does mean that it is very tempting to try some of the product – perhaps the product shouldn’t smell quite so good!

After scrubbing your lips with this product, it is recommended that you actually lick the product off. This is somewhat… Well, it means that you’re basically mindfully eating your own dead, scrubbed off lip skin. This is a bit gross!

I always rinse my mouth area after using the lip scrub, because even if I try to lick the product off, there will still be sugar granules sprinkled around my mouth. This can be a bit time consuming and inconvenient at times.

This scrub will leave your lips feeling incredibly smooth, plump, renewed and a nice rosey colour. My lips always looked their best just after I had used this scrub! If you like a more natural beauty sort of look, this scrub is especially good, because you can have all of these effects to your lips without having any product actually on them!

I found it very satisfying using this lip scrub. It’s so nice looking in the mirror after scrubbing your lips to find how perfect they look!

This lip scrub smells just like ‘Aero’ – a milk chocolate filled with sweet, creamy, minty “bubbles”. It smells absolutely amazing!

This product comes in a little tiny jar, so it is very easy to put in your handbag and carry around with you wherever you go.

This product is generally very easy and quite fast to use!

This is a Lush product, so it is pretty epic!

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, I absolutely love Lush’s lip scrubs. I prefer this lip scrub to their ‘Popcorn Lip Scrub’, because although I love the smell and taste of the popcorn flavoured lip scrub more, I find that ‘Mint Julips Lip Scrub’ lasts a little bit longer, and I also find I prefer the effects slightly more when using ‘Mint Julips Lip Scrub’.

‘Mint Julips Lip Scrub’ will leave your lips super plump, super rosey, feeling super renewed and extremely smooth. Yes, it might be quite messy and yes, it is also quite expensive for what it is, for the amount of product you get and for how long it lasts. My pot was made on 05/05/16, and I probably used it all up sometime this week. That means it lasts me around 10 or 11 weeks, so 2 1/2 – 3 months. That sounds like a decent amount of time for it to last, but considering it is really just sugar and oils, I’d expect it to last longer for how much I paid for it. I suppose you are essentially paying for someone else to make the product for you, saving you time – but that would still mean that I’d expect a little bit more than the small pot that this scrub comes in, as if I were to make the product myself, I’d definitely make far more product than what they provide.

Overall, I do really like this scrub. I do have some issues with it, but they are nothing massive. I rate this product a 4/5* – I really want to rate it higher, but how messy it is does put me off giving it a 5* rating. Either way, this is a fantastic product, and I look forward to trying more lip scrubs from Lush in the future!

I hope you enjoyed this review everyone!

Lush Dirty Massage Bar Review

Hey guys!

Welcome again to another Lush review.

Just a little warning before I get started – I have been meaning to update my blog with a few reviews for a while now, so you’re going to get 3 reviews today 🙂 I’m also going to begin working on some holiday type blog posts soon for Rome, Paris and Glasgow, so look forward to them!

Other than those blog posts, I’m going to be super busy this Summer, so I might not post too much after this week is done. I’m getting a job, moving out, have holidays abroad coming up, have some studying to get done before I get back to Uni in September, have a lot of goals to achieve and well… yeah… basically I’m going to be pretty busy over the next few months…

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this review! 🙂

Dirty Massage Bar Review:

Rating: 4/5

This massage bar is pretty messy. It has chocolate on the top of it, which melts very, very easily. You will soon find chocolate smeared all over the massage bar, so when you use it, you then end up with chocolate smeared and rubbed into your skin. This can leave you with feeling slightly unclean – but it’s not a big deal really.

This massage bar melts incredibly easily. If you leave it on your bedside table, or anywhere else where you may also usually place a cup of tea or any hot beverage, problems can occur. Sometimes I would find my massage bar had melted somewhat onto my bedside table, due to me having a hot drink on the side, forgetting about the fact my massage bar was close by.

I’m not too keen on the overall colour of the massage bar in all honesty. It’s a peachy, nude sort of colour – to me it doesn’t look all that pretty as the colour of a massage bar!

This massage bar is super oily – which I guess sounds pretty obvious. At the same time though, it somehow doesn’t feel very moisturing, which sounds strange, but it’s true. It sort of leaves a coating on your skin which does eventually sink in, but it takes so long to do so, that it really just leaves your skin feeling kinda oily.

This massage bar can go down super quickly. My partner would use a chunk of it on my back, and to my surprise, it would all be gone by the end of the massage. It goes down REALLY quickly.

This massage bar will begin to break into pieces the more you use it – not a massive problem as it breaks into large pieces, not lots of small ones.

The chocolate piece on this massage bar looks a bit odd. I guess it is because it is incorporated into a beauty product, but it looks very uneven in colour and looks almost speckled. Again, not a big problem.

This massage bar smells so good. It smells like a slightly earthy, soapy spearmint. It smells very clean, lovely and relaxing.

This massage bar feels lovely on the skin. The chocolate part feels gritty whilst the main massage bar part feels incredibly smooth. Having a couple of different sensations used in a massage makes it more interesting and fun!

The chocolate part, although messy, is quite a luxurious idea. I think this massage bar is definitely more of a luxury item, but a luxury item everyone should have in their storage.

This massage bar is very soft and is very porous – meaning that it melts very evening and smoothly. This means that the sensation while the massage bar is gliding over your skin is a very smooth and relaxing one – with only slight resistance or friction at the very beginning of the massage, before the bar has begun melting properly.

The residue that this massage bar leaves behind provides a very good medium to give massages with – your hands will glide smoothly across any skin without any effort. This gives a very relaxing massage to the recipient.

This massage bar will dry and become completely solid at room temperature – at least at my room temperature, meaning it’s ability to leave any residue on anything is short lived once it has been put down.

If you have a partner, then just having this massage bar lying around will encourage them to give you more massages – especially if you tell them that you are trying to use it up so that you can review it 😉

The speckled effect of the actual main part of the massage bar looks very nice – it reminds me of when you buy a good brand of vanilla ice cream and can see little black dots of vanilla pot distributed throughout. It has a very nice and organic look to it.

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, I love this massage bar. I’ve received tons of lovely back and shoulder massages with this bar in the past, so I think getting this massage bar was totally worth it. I’m not keen on using it as a lotion of some sort at all – it is far too messy and oily for that. It is perfect for an evening massage though!

I absolutely loved having this massage bar, despite it being somewhat messy, so I’m going to rate it a 4/5*. If it was a tad less messy I would have given the bar a higher rating – I’m a bit obsessed with cleanliness and I must admit that sometimes this bar being used on me made me feel a bit ‘dirty’, which I guess is the point! Definitely a luxury item best saved for special occasions I think!

Lush Cup O’ Coffee Exfoliating Mask Review

Hey guys!

Today is another Lush review – I hope you enjoy!

Cup O’ Coffee Exfoliating Mask Review – 150g

Rating: 5/5*

This mask I find is quite drying. After using this mask, I find my face/hands.wherever I chose to use the mask to be quite parched and lacking moisture. This is definitely a mask where you’ll want to moisturise after using it! It also leaves the skin with a slightly tight feeling.

This is an exfoliating mask, yet after having used it, I find I still have some little rough bits of skin on my face! Just keep in mind that this mask will not thoroughly exfoliate your skin.

This mask is super sticky. If you are not insanely careful while this mask is on your face, it will end up in your hair.

When taking the mask off of your skin, you have to be VERY careful. Do not start massaging the mask off without having applied water first, and do not be too impatient when trying to wash the mask off. This mask really sticks to the skin, so if you aren’t very careful when washing it off, it could easily end up being quite painful and red!

This mask goes a long way, and I don’t even mean that in a good way. My pot of this face mask was made on the 26/09/15, with an expiry date of 26/01/16, however, I have literally only just managed to use this guy up. Some people might think it’s gross to use Lush products past their use by dates, but unless the product starts to smell unusual or doesn’t look how it is meant to, I will continue using it – and this has worked out fine for me! The only problem with this is that I have been using this mask with my boyfriend multiple times a week since I first got it (around the end of November or start of December last year,) and it has literally taken this long for it to run out. That’s 6 and a half months for 2 people to finish it! Although I do not mind using a product past it’s use by date, it does bother me, and does get a little boring using the same product for such a long time. This product just lasts way too long!

This mask looks kinda disgusting on the face. It looks like lumpy mud or… something else unappealing… has been smeared all over your face. It really isn’t a pretty sight!

The smell of this mask gets very sickly. It is made with coffee and agave syrup, make the scent a very. very sweet coffee. Some people might love that smell, but for me it is a bit much!

Around when I first got this product, the smell of the mask even smelled slightly alcoholic to me… it doesn’t smell that way to me now, but that was also kind of off-putting.

This mask is very messy. It takes a very long time to wash it all off of your face and out of your hair line, and then you’ll find that your bathroom sink is littered with little pieces of coffee granules and droplets of murky brown water. It will also get on anything that it touches while it is on your skin because it is so sticky, so be very, very careful…

This mask will leave you and anyone else’s face SUPER soft. I’m not even kidding. It won’t feel moisturised, but it will feel insanely soft. After me and my partner use this mask together, we can’t help but keep stroking our faces!

It lasts a really long time, which although is also a con for me, it does mean that this mask is brilliant value for money. My pot cost me around £6.50 and lasted me about 6 and a half months, so £1 a month for 2 people! We generally tried to use this mask a couple of times a week each together, meaning 25p for 4 uses! This was with us using a normal amount of product on our faces each time. Insanely good value for money!

This mask, obviously, smells like coffee. If you enjoy a good sweet cup of coffee, you’ll love the smell of this mask and will find the scent helps wake you up!

This is a vegan, cruelty free, handmade face mask – made with very natural ingredients, and from Lush! What more could you want?

Because this mask lasts so long, it is much more fun to use it with your partner or with friends, making it an entire experience rather than just a product. I have some great photos of me and my partner using this mask together, some lovely memories and have overall really enjoyed the experience of using this mask with him 🙂

This mask is also part of the recycling scheme. If you return 5 pots from Lush saying that they are part of this scheme, you get a free fresh face mask. The pot for this face mask was the fifth pot I had saved up from Lush, so now I can go get myself a free fresh face mask! 😀

After using this product, me and my partner’s face looks colourful, healthy, clean and glowing. It looks like having brand new skin 😀

Overall conclusion:

Overall, I think this mask is okay. I do not like the scent – it makes me feel a little sick to be honest, because I really do not like sweet coffee! It also isn’t moisturising whatsoever, and doesn’t get rid of some dry skin on my forehead – but it does leave about half of my face feeling incredibly smooth, new and soft. It also leaves the skin looking beautiful.

I think that more than anything, this product is an experience, and the experience of using this product is what I have enjoyed most.

Overall, I would rate this product 5/5*. The product itself isn’t amazing, but it’s just been so fun to use that I couldn’t recommend it enough! 🙂

Lush Snowcake Hand And Body Soap Review

Today is Lush’s “Snowcake Hand And Body Soap” review!

I hope you enjoy!

Snowcake Hand And Body Soap

Rating: 5/5

This soap is very plain looking. Yes, it does have a gold lustre on the top of the soap, but as soon as that washes off, all you are left with is a cream coloured soap – pretty basic!

This soap to me didn’t smell like all that much, and certainly did not smell like marzipan. To me it smelt slightly sickly sweet, and at the same time, smelt quite a bit like a regular bar of soap. Like if sugar was added to the formula of a standard soap, if that makes any sense?

If you get a piece with little shapes on top of it, after a bit of usage, the gold lustre will mix with some gooey soap solution and sort of “pool” in the pits of these shapes, which can be a bit gross.

The soap runs out really quickly when using it. The Reindeer Rock Soap that I used would take a much smaller amount of product to produce a good lather to wash my body with, however, this soap seems to disappear before your eyes!

After several uses when the soap has smoothed down, it becomes incredibly slippery. This means you’ll find yourself dropping it constantly while using it, which can get very irritating to say the least.

This product is limited edition for the Christmas season, so you cannot purchase it from the Lush store for the majority of the year.

I found that I had to re-lather this soap onto my loofah several times sometimes during my shower, in order to have enough lather to be able to wash my entire body with. This was time consuming and slightly irritating.

The lather that this soap leaves on your body is very thick. This means that you have to position the shower faucet pretty much directly onto any suds on your body in order to rinse them off.

This soap is very, very, very creamy and therefore moisturising. It is almost like a body lotion and a soap all in one. Using this creamy soap will leave your body feeling very supple and soft.

The gold lustre on top is very pretty, and makes the soap look magical! A bit of gold lustre on a soap helps me feel like a bit of a princess while I take my morning shower 🙂

Overall, possibly because of the slightly sickly scent causing me to pick it up a little less often, this soap has lasted me a good amount of time, despite how fast it generally seems to run out while using it. It has lasted me for about 5 months!

Even when the soap is dry, the texture of it is not a particularly waxy one, like your typical soap. It is much more soft and creamy in texture than that and feels very pleasant to the touch.

The soap does leave behind a scent in both the bathroom and on the skin, which smells more pleasant and subdued to me in comparison to when it’s actually being used in the shower.

This soap does clean you very thoroughly, so it does it’s job very well!

The appearance of this soap does make it fit in quite well with the Christmas range, and does have quite a festive feel to it. When this soap next comes out in the Christmas range, I’d recommend buying it simply to amplify the Christmas spirit!

The name of this soap is adorable, and very tasty sounding! Who doesn’t love cake?

The soap claims to be marzipan scented and although to me it is not, just the claim is somehow appealing – marzipan was certainly one of my favourite treats as a child!

If you are someone who does not like the taste or scent of marzipan, then this soap lacking that scent should appeal to you! It does NOT smell like marzipan!!!

This soap even looks somewhat edible!

Although the colouring of this soap is rather bland, simplicity is often preferred in a bathroom, and this soap will not clash with any colour schemes you may have – some may find the simple cream colouring of this soap to even be somewhat elegant.

The shape and patterns and overall appearance of this soap is quite nice, it has very interesting and unique patterns on the top of it, and really makes this soap feel a lot more special than a lot of Lush’s other soaps.

Overall Conclusion:

Overall, I did really like this soap. I think it is overall very beautiful, and is a soap I would like to purchase every Christmas season. It is a soap that helps make me feel as special as a princess when I take my shower, as soft and moisturised as a baby’s skin, and that makes me really feel excited about Christmas!

It is rather plain looking in terms of it’s colouring, especially in comparison to other Lush soaps, but I feel that the gold lustre compliments this rather well. Perhaps if there was a caramel coloured swirl throughout the soap, I’d love it more so!

Overall, I rate this soap a 5/5*. It isn’t absolutely perfect, and slight tweaks could be made to it, but for a soap?… For a soap, it is amazing, definitely for use during the winter time!
