Blossoming As A Type 4.

Hey guys!

So, I recently discovered that using Enneagram typology, I am a 4w5. I’ve already learnt a lot about this type and after learning about the different levels of healthiness of my Enneagram type, I decided to write a blog post on blossoming as a type 4 as soon as I could.

I believe I’m at level 7 on the four’s levels of development scale.

I think if I were on any level below a 7, I would basically feel much worse than I do now (although I do resonate a lot with level 8 too). In fact, I definitely feel everything written that a level 8 feels, apart from I don’t feel that I am closed off to receiving help – which I think is the biggest distinction between a level 7 and a level 8 in my opinion. In fact, I absolutely love being helped and actively ask for help often, and although sometimes it is difficult to receive it, I’m always happy and grateful once I have. Definitely not a level 9 at the moment though – I think that level is reserved for the lowest of the low points I experience in my life (such as during my foundation year at my first University…) Although, I definitely do experience the odd emotional breakdown every now and then!

I think if I were on any level above a 7, I’d definitely be a lot more expressive than I am now, although I do relate a LOT with level 5, and I think a level 5 is basically me on a good day!

A level 7 resonates with me most because it is a state where chaos leads to one disallowing themselves from basically doing anything that they enjoy, leads to anger toward oneself, leads to depression and isolation… It’s just basically a sort of reactionary state to being in a bad situation.

My bad situation? Well, I’m just not doing great at Uni and am just generally really not very happy with my life and how it’s going at all. It could be worse, but it certainly could be quite a bit better.

So, I want to blossom.

What is it to blossom?

Apparently, according to the Google search result for “define blossom”, it means to “mature or develop in a promising or healthy way.” Synonyms are develop, grow, mature, progress, evolve, burst forth, come to fruition, flourish, thrive, get on well, prosper, succeed, be successful, make headway, bloom, burgeon and go great guns… Antonyms are fade and fail.

Basically, I’m pretty bored and fed up of being a level 7. I mean, it’s okay, but there is a lot more out there for me to experience and I know that’s the person I want to be.

I know I probably seem to be taking the Enneagram too literally, or seem obsessive, or maybe it seems like I’m just using this as another procrastination tactic.

It isn’t that I’m taking the Enneagram literally, rather that it has made me feel quite validated and I definitely resonate with this typology system better than the MBTI (it took 4 tests before I got the same result twice for MBTI, and only 2 for Enneagram).

I’m not obsessive about the Enneagram itself – rather about the prospect of being happy, healthy and successful.

I’m not using this to procrastinate, this is something I need to do so that I will find being productive easier and feel less need to procrastinate altogether.

So, I’m really excited about this. I’m excited about working on me. I work on me a lot to be fair, but in a much less direct way than I intend to now do. This should be priority – type 4’s who are on the extreme end of level 9 are LIKELY to commit suicide! I mean, what’s more important than preventing that? I need to climb this development ladder and FAST.

I’m scared of shifting my focus – scared that my future will somehow fall apart, scared that it will lead to me being unproductive, scared that it won’t work, scared that it will be a waste of time, scared that it is the wrong decision, scared that this will just lead me into an even deeper depression, scared that it might go right and I might actually end up being happy through doing this… That’s the scariest thought of all! It means letting go of who I am, who I have been, and allowing myself to live the life I’ve always wanted. That’s scary when you feel like you’re not good enough to live that life.

So, to start my blossoming, I’m going to get myself some routine going. I’ve heard nothing but good things about fours having a good routine to get them stuck into the reality of daily life. I’m not going to go nuts with a routine, but I’ll just give myself the structure that I think I actually need to be happiest.

I also really need to stay on top of my studies. I NEED to stay grounded in the reality that I’ve created for myself, but without TRAPPING myself! I need to be studying, hard, and doing the work I set for myself and meeting those expectations every single day. I need to be kind to myself and give myself realistic expectations and allow myself time to just be free, but sticking to those expectations is essential to me being happy and loving myself.

I need to begin taking care of myself and making me feel good about myself. I need to take my long Lush baths, do my hair and makeup, use my perfumes, take care in what clothes and jewellery I wear, taking photos of myself and being proud of who I am and of how I represent myself with how I look.

I NEED TO BE FEARLESS AND MAKE TIME TO DO THE THINGS THAT I ENJOY! I need to allow myself to READ my books, to write my blog posts, to edit my photos, to paint my pictures, to learn my instruments, to sing my songs, TO CREATE. I NEED TO MAKE TIME EVERYDAY TO BE CREATIVE! How else am I going to express myself? I NEED THIS. I think this will absolutely bring me the most joy in my life. I need this so, so much.

I’m going to leave it there, because I think that amount of focus is the right amount to allow me to thrive.

This is, of course, before the fact – so I will do my best to update ya’ll on my progress at a later time to say how it’s all going.

Thanks for reading,

Storm

Questions from Lise

  1. Do you have a saying that you don’t necessarily intend to use but still do
I guess I say “um” a lot and don’t mean to? It’s not really a saying but it’s the closest thing I can think of… Oh, and I say “It’s like” before explaining something to someone too. And “You know what I mean though” while explaining something to someone…
  2. What would be your ideal living situation?
I love my current living situation, so something pretty similar to what I have now! Basically living with my partner. I wish we lived in our own mortgaged home though rather than a rented flat, and I wish we lived somewhere warmer or somewhere closer to my family. Other than that it’s pretty perfect!
  3. If you could have any non traditional pet, what would it be?
I would have… A little baby snake… Or a ferret if that’s counted as being non-traditional… Or an ocelot. Oh, one of them Savannah cats. Or a lizard. Or a serval, or a pig. I’ve genuinely always wanted a pet pig. Honestly I love all animals to bits and I’d be happy to take care of almost any animal if I could!
  4. What would be your dream job? Do you already have it?
I haven’t had a job for over 5 years! Terrible I know, I know. I’ve been a student since then. That’s no excuse to not work but full-time education does take a lot of work! So I definitely do not already have my dream job. My dream job would be to get paid to do something to do with travel, animals, nature, warm countries and statistics. So like an ecology statistician or something? It wouldn’t even feel like a job – it would be amazing! I don’t know how likely it would ever be though considering I’m getting a degree in Astrophysics and not in Ecology haha! Hopefully I’ll find a way 🙂
  5. What does blogging mean to you?
Blogging is my outlet. It’s my way to de-stress, to vent… To be free really! I feel entirely free with my blog to literally express myself however I want, which is amazing. I find blogging insanely therapeutic and that’s actually the reason I started my blog – I started it up when I was in a pretty dark time in my life and just felt like creating a blog was the best way I could help myself to feel a bit better. It’s also a nice way to have some public permanence if that makes sense? Like a way for me to “define” myself in a “certain” way? Basically blogging makes me happy!
  6. Do you have any weird holiday traditions?
Mmm… I always bring pretty much only Lush products with me on holiday, and will usually do a little Lush shop before going on holiday to make sure I have a solid shampoo and some sort of solid body wash and toothpaste etc. We also always search on Happycow to find all the local vegan restaurants, and try to visit the ones that sound the most amazing while in that country. We only really book holidays in affordable European countries… And we always seem to pack in a panic the same morning of our flight! Can’t think of anything specific though. Oh and on the flight, if we have the two outer seats I’ll always sit in the aisle, and if we have the two inner seats I’ll always sit by the window.
  7. Is there a fictional character you would have loved to meet in real life? Which one?
Not that I can think of? Oh, any Star Trek character for sure.
  8. What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?
The best purchase is… Paying rent for this flat if that counts? If not then… God there are way too many good purchases!!! Um I’m going to go with Coalface from Lush – not because of how good the product is (although it is decent,) but because of what that purchase lead to. It was the first thing I bought from Lush and opened me up to the happy world of Lush! Worst purchase… Uhh… Once I bought a “vegetarian” samosa that actually ended up being lamb flavour or something and I only knew once I had bitten into it. That was a pretty bad purchase. I’m really frugal so I’ve never wasted a bunch of money on something to only regret it honestly.
  9. Whats the worst screw up you’ve ever had in the kitchen?
I don’t really cook but I could tell you some kitchen horrors that Richard has conjured up! Oh, I used to toast poppadoms in the toaster and they would always end up as charcoal and setting on fire.
  10. Do you have any “useless” talents? What are they?
I have really clicky fingers. Like I can click them all at once like most people do, but then I can go and click them all individually aswell. It’s not really a talent, just gross really isn’t it. I’m very talented at stressing out. And I can whistle. Can’t really think of any other useless talents!
  11. Has anyone ever tricked you into believing something and then you discovered it wasn’t true? What was it?
I’m really gullible so people do this all the time, but they always tell me straight afterwards so I never had to discover the thing wasn’t true. Like people have made me believe that there are exams on a day when there aren’t etc. Only little things though.

My questions:

  1. What would be your favourite place to visit abroad during the Summer?
  2. What is something exciting that you hope to happen this Summer?
  3. What are some activities that you have planned for this Summer?
  4. What is your favourite season and why?
  5. What are some of your go-to outfits for the Summertime?
  6. What is the best holiday you’ve ever been on?
  7. What is your favourite thing about the Summer?
  8. If you had to move to a different country, where would you choose to move to and why?
  9. What are your favourite things to eat and drink during the Summer?
  10. What are some of your favourite Summertime fragrances?
  11. What are some purchases you hope to / need to make before or during this Summer?

I tried my best to make my questions kinda “sunny” and relevant to the title ‘The Sunshine Blogger Award’! I hope some of you enjoy answering them. To anyone who wants to answer my questions and who wants to be nominated – consider yourself nominated! Thanks again Lise, I’ve have fun writing this blog post 🙂

The Beauty Tag

Hey guyyys! 😀

I hope you’re all having a great weekend! I was technically tagged by Lise over at Lushtivity, although not directly as she tagged anybody who wanted to give this questionnaire a go. She’s awesome. Go check her out.

1. Do you remember your first makeup item?

When I was probably around 6 years old, my mother took me and my two older siblings to a beauty shop and let us all pick one nail polish each – orange and yellow were my favourite colours so I of course chose the sparkly orange nail polish.

2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?
My perfect mascara would make my eyelashes look super natural – like my own eyelashes only slightly more enhanced and beautiful. I love a natural look! I’d also want the mascara to be ethical and made from natural ingredients – similar to Lush’s ‘Eyes Right’ mascara (the one that comes in the long tube from Oxford Street.) It would be super easy to apply and wouldn’t get all over my eyelids. As I said, Lush’s ‘Eyes Right’ mascara is the best one I have tried so far, but it is going to take some practice to learn how to apply it without getting product all over my face!

3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from a foundation?
I like a natural medium kinda coverage from my foundation. One where after I use it my skin still looks like my own, but just with less flaws. Again, I prefer makeup that just naturally and beautifully enhances what I already have!

4. Favourite high end brand?
The most expensive makeup I’ve tried is from Lush, so I guess Lush?

5. What cosmetics brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t?
Honestly, none. I’m only interested in Lush products now haha!

6. Favourite drugstore brand?
I actually really enjoy just using MUA products for when I want some more affordable makeup. I bought a MUA eyeshadow palette recently and have been using one of the powders on my eyebrows every single day since. It works amazingly and was super affordable!

7. Do you wear false lashes?
Nope, never have. I’d like to try them just to see what they look like – just for fun. I’d never be into wearing them frequently though. Don’t like the idea of sticking random bits of plastic to my body too much.

8. Is there any kind of makeup you can’t leave the house without?
I can leave the house without any makeup, so long as I’m not going to be seeing many people at all on that day. I can’t leave to go and have a normal day at Uni without foundation, setting powder and eyebrow powder. I’d also be fairly miserable if I don’t have my lip tint on too. The rest, meh. I usually just do my foundation before I leave and pack the rest of those items in my Uni bag – I do most of my makeup whilst commuting on the train!

9. What is your most cherished beauty product?
Probably my ‘Light Yellow Colour Supplement’ from Lush at the moment. It’s basically a foundation. Really not sure what I would do without it!

10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there, or get lots of goodies at once?
I never really shop for makeup apart from when I have run out of something that I use daily. If I do need to stock up on makeup though, I do prefer to make any purchases I need to make in one go.

11. Do you have a “beauty budget” or do you spend freely?
I don’t have a beauty budget but I am extremely frugal. So technically I spend my money on beauty products freely as I don’t really keep a close track of it, but it’s still rare that I’ll buy any beauty products for myself.

12. Do you utilize coupons, reward cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics?
No. I just get what I need when I need it!

13. What type of product do you buy the most of?
I get through toothpaste quite quickly… And also shampoo. I strangely have loads of shower gels though, even though I get through them super slowly. I’m going to go with shampoo.

14. Is there a brand you absolutely can’t stand?
Um, not really. Any brands that test on animals or are absurdly overpriced. I’ve also always had a negative perspective on super popular, hyped up brands like Mac.

15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics, like parabens or sulfates?
I’m a vegan so I do make sure any beauty products I use are also vegan. I also like natural products – the more natural the ingredients the better! I’m honestly not that fussy at the minute though – again, I tend to stick to trying out Lush products and for the most part they seem to do more good than harm thus far!

16. Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?
Again, Lush… If I can’t afford Lush at the time though, I’ll go take a look in Superdrug!

17. Do you like trying new skin care products or do you keep a certain routine?
I love trying new skin care products. Once I’ve found something that I really love though, I’ll not stray from using it (like my ‘Veganese Conditioner’ and my ‘Eau Roma Water Toner’ from Lush.)

18. Favourite bath and body brand?
I’m so tediously predictable. LUSH!

19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?
LUSH!

20. What brand do you think has the best packaging?
Lush… Only because they use recycled plastic to make their pots and have a really good recycling scheme. I also think their packaging looks quite funky.

21. Which celebrity always has great makeup?
I have no idea. I’m not really a fan of celebrities. I’ll say Rihanna just because she mostly seems to go for a fairly natural look that really enhances her natural beauty, which is what I like my makeup to look like.

22. Do you belong to any online makeup communities?
No.

23. 5 Favourite beauty gurus:
Meh, none. I nominate myself to be a beauty guru. There, now I can vote for myself!

24. Do you like multi-functional products like lip and cheek stains?
If that’s their primary purpose and they have been made specifically to be one just as much as the other, then sure. That sounds pretty neat. But, I tend to find that products advertised as being multi-functional usually have one primary function, and then a secondary, not-so-good function. So I guess I like them if they are ACTUALLY multi-functional!

25. Are you clumsy at putting on makeup?
Yes. I’m terrible at putting on liquid eyeliner – although I’d absolutely love to get good at it. I’m also pretty bad at applying mascara around 75% of the time – there is the odd time that it comes out pretty darn good. I always accidentally smudge my lip tint over my lip line too, and it takes a while to perfect the outline. So, long story short, yes.

26. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?
I use just a regular facial primer all over my face – including around my eyes.

27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day?
On a typical day I use shampoo and conditioner. That’s it. I used to use a hair moisturiser daily too but I used it all up 😦

28. What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?
I just use a foundation!

29. Would you ever consider taking makeup classes?
Probably not. I really enjoy learning my own way around applying makeup, and how to apply it in such a way that works best with my unique skin, facial features, tones etc.

30. What do you love about makeup?
I love that it gives a person confidence in how they look, where they might feel completely unconfident otherwise. I love that it provides every single person in the world the opportunity to look the most conventionally beautiful that they possibly can. I love that makeup enhances an individual’s unique natural beauty, and really makes a person shine from the inside out. I love that it gives everybody the opportunity to look “on fleek” and like all of them beautiful models and celebrities they see. It gives us power to change our physical appearance and how we are perceived by others pretty damn easily. It’s pretty magical stuff.

I tag:
Whoever wants to do this questionnaire!

5 Lists About 5 Things

Hey ya’ll!

I saw my lovely blogger friend Lise’s post for this idea, linked here. Please head over to her blog and read her post too!

5 Lists About 5 Things:

5 Things I Often Say:

  • “Uhhm…” is a thing I say super often because I find it really difficult to articulate my thoughts, so I’ll say “Uhhm…” when I’m trying to think about what to say next!
  • “Hey” is usually how I greet people, so I guess I say it quite a bit 🙂
  • “HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!” is how I greet my partner when he comes home! I’m always very excited to see him!
  • “For f*ck’s sake!” is something I say quite frequently when I get very very annoyed… Which happens quite a lot…
  • “Meow” is something I also say quite a lot when I’m at home – I absolutely love cats and think they’re just insanely adorable so of course I enjoy mimicking them!

5 Things I Often Think:

  • “Everything, everything, everything, everything…” is something I think a lot. I’m sure it makes absolutely no sense to any of you reading this, but it’s basically my brain-prompt to make sure I don’t forget anything!
  • “From all angles” is another thought I have a lot. It’s my way of reminding myself to make sure that I’ve approached the subject from all angles and again, that I haven’t forgotten to include anything. It’s something I particularly like to do when it comes to posting on social media sites.
  • “I need to lose weight, I shouldn’t eat that, I should be dieting today to get back to my ideal weight…” is a thought process I have a lot. Everybody says that weight fluctuates – well, mine doesn’t really. My weight just naturally inches it’s way up and up the scales, and it takes some work to maintain a specific weight. This means that every few weeks I’m back to having a few lbs to lose, hence why I have this thought process pretty often.
  • “I need to do something about my damaged hair, I need to do something about my unhealthy skin, I need to study for this exam, need to do this , need to do that, need to do everything…” Yep, I have fairly severe anxiety so I’m basically perpetually worried and stressing out about literally everything that I “need” to do.
  • “I love Richard so much…” He’s my partner and I’m fairly obsessed with him, despite us having been together (and living together) for almost 5 years now!

5 Things I Dream About At Night:

  • My dreams are fairly disturbing but I promise you that I am a normal sane human being. I think it’s from watching the entire “Britain’s Darkest Taboos” series on TV! Something I dream about a lot is about murdering people and then having to deal with the aftermath – hiding/disposing of the body, not getting found out by the police or by anyone for that matter, going into hiding, making sure I don’t leave behind any DNA or any “trail” of any kind etc… I know that sounds proper creepy, but if it helps then the people I end up killing in my dreams are always people who tried hurting/killing other people – usually my family members.
  • Sometimes I dream about having a baby with my partner! I’m insanely excited to one day have a baby and be a mother!
  • I have SO MANY DREAMS where I’m just running away from something. Just running, running, running and hiding… Running down streets, into back alleys, jumping people’s back garden fences, climbing buildings… Like, literally non-stop running away from something. One time I was running away from these monsters that were trying to EAT ME. One caught me and ate me and it was the most terrifying dream I’ve ever had I swear to God.
  • I have a lot of fairly psychedelic dreams. I’ve had dreams of being in a flying yellow submarine, and then everyone’s face started melting after eating lemon sherbet hard boiled sweets. I had another dream where my father turned literally bright green and shrunk to the size of a baby, so we put him into a crib and it turned out that this was all happening because he was really ill and was dying. Then the sky turned dark red and the sun set and everyone had really weirdly long shadows, and everyone had to evacuate that village thing but we had to leave my dad behind because, well, he was a dying green baby in a crib (still with his normal head BTW, just a baby’s body.) It was weird.
  • I’ve had some dreams where I’m living another life. Ones where I’m in the army have been really exciting. Another one I had was where I was the girl from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and I was trying to sneak into some castle building thing, and there were loads of flying monkeys everywhere.

5 Things I Order Abroad:

  • I’ve ordered a beanie hat and a jumper from abroad once a couple of years ago… I think they were from China.
  • I literally think that’s it. Everything is just cheaper to get delivered from England and you can get most stuff from this country so I don’t really ever feel like I’m missing out on anything!

5 Things I Wish Would Happen Before The End Of The Year:

  • I wish that I’ll get proposed to and engaged before the end of the year!
  • I wish that I’ll achieve some more health goes by the end of the year – I’d be happy if I can even just maintain my ideal weight, drink a good amount of water everyday and fit in a nice amount of exercise daily!
  • I wish that I’d receive a 70% average for my first year of my Astrophysics degree – a 1:1! I should get those results in June, so I definitely wish for this by the end of the year!
  • I wish that me and my partner would move out somewhere more north (we’re thinking High Barnet) by the end of the year. A nice fresh new start!
  • I wish that I would get my first body mod since forever before the end of the year – something super meaningful to me, probably a tattoo!

Thanks for reading! Phew, that post turned out to be longer than I had anticipated. I really like to ramble on, don’t I?!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Feel free to leave a comment below if you found any of my points (or “things”) interesting. I’d also love to hear what some of you lot would put in your lists!

Guilty Pleasures Q&A

Hey guys! I originally found this blog post idea here from Meg over at Mystic Mogwai, and really wanted to give it a go myself! I hope you enjoy 🙂

1.TV Show.
Um, does “Britain’s Darkest Taboos” count? I do feel guilty watching it because of how dark the show is, but I just find it so interesting at the same time, which makes it really hard for me to stop watching!

2. Book.
Um, well I have this awesome book called “Star Trek Vault: 40 Years from the Archives”. It’s like, a really big book that is just absolutely jam packed full of Star Trek facts and information about how the show was made etc… I *might* feel a bit silly or embarrassed reading this in front of other, more “normal” women my age, but… I really love my Star Trek…

3. Song.
Selena Gomez – Fetish. I know what you’re thinking – “Why is that something to feel guilty about? She’s so popular that she’s the most followed person on Instagram!” Yeah, well, that’s exactly the problem. I come from an extremely alternative upbringing, so, listening to Selena is… Well, enjoying her music isn’t an opinion people close to me will share, let’s just say that! I just really like how much that girl feels her emotions, and how her lyrics often reflect that!

4. Band.
Blackpink… Okay, so this is a Korean pop band. I can’t even understand what they are saying. But, these super cute girls have super cute dances and videos to their super cute songs. I mostly like the dance factor – I think that almost every single Korean pop song has a dance that goes with it, and I really enjoy dance so…

5. Purchases.
Ugh, clothes from Primark… I think when you’re just looking out for yourself, you generally feel more “guilty” for purchasing temporary items. I know that I used to feel really bad whenever I’d buy food, drink, beauty products and anything else that could “run out” basically. Now that I live with my partner and we pay for the bills and food costs in proportion to how much income we each have, I generally feel more guilty to buy myself more long lasting items. Any money that goes on those things is less money that I have in my account to go towards those important, temporary things that we need to pay for, if that makes sense? I’ve recently spent a LOT of money (at least, a lot for me) on clothes from Primark – a brand that so many people believe is a waste of money to even spend £1 on! But, I absolutely love what I’ve bought, and really enjoy buying clothes that make me feel really confident – especially at such an affordable price!

6. Activity.
Um, spending all day browsing Youtube videos?

7. Habit.
Smoking… I don’t actually smoke very much at all, and wouldn’t even label myself as a smoker honestly. It isn’t like if you spent 24 hours with me, you’d witness me smoking 10+ cigarettes throughout the day or anything like that. I just sort of have the odd one when I feel like it. It makes me feel bad because I know it makes you age faster and is really unhealthy, and I also feel like a hypocrite for all the times I’ve complained at my partner and my parents for doing it! But, I do really enjoy it – so long as it remains somewhat under control and doesn’t become a full-blown addiction or anything!

8. Movie.
Hahaha, “The Talented Mr Ripley.” It’s such a classic, and really isn’t the type of thing a teen or young adult would be obsessed with. But, I just absolutely love it, and have since I was around 16 years old. Oh haha, “Teeth” and “Perfume” are two other really good ones – but ‘The Talented Mr Ripley” is definitely my favourite. It’s a really weird movie. It’s about a man who pretends to be someone he’s not, and ends up becoming really violent and… I dunno, it’s just crazy. It’s Matt Damon – watching him in movies makes me laugh a lot. Great movie!

9. Game on your phone.
I don’t actually really play games on my phone, but I used to play Pokemon Go quite avidly, and would be completely down to start playing it again so long as my partner does too. I mean, it’s Pokemon, and when you’re out in public you look like a complete loony using your phone to try and catch invisible creatures. I used to love watching Pokemon as a kid, and now that I’m going on 24 it just doesn’t feel quite right for me to be still enjoying it!

10. Website.
Instagram. Why? Well, because I don’t actually use my Instagram, and haven’t even followed anyone on my account I don’t think. I just sort of… Look up old friends, to see what they’re up to… I know, sounds super creepy right? I just find it really interesting to see how much old friends have changed over the years – the type of people who just wouldn’t even speak to me anymore!

Neurotic, overthinking, true and sensitive. HOWEVER, upon asking my partner how he would describe me in 4 words, the person that knows me more than anyone else other than myself, he said “Caring, intelligent, chilled and beautiful.” Just goes to show that not everybody sees you how you view yourself!
  2. You’re stranded on an island and can only bring one item, one person and one food item. What and who do you bring, and why?
Okay, so I assume there won’t be any signal on this island but just at the slight chance that there would be, I’d have to say I’d bring a phone. So I could call someone to help me – and also to occupy myself while on the island. I’m going to have to be a bit boring with this one, and say that I’d bring my partner. I feel safest and happiest when I’m with him 🙂 As for food, I’d being a whole lot of kale. It’s extremely nutrient dense and I feel it is the most likely food item that would prevent us from dying…
  3. You have the chance to go back in time to change one major world event. What would you change?
Eh, I’m not so great with the history of the world honestly and I’m not the type of person that would go changing history if I could. The butterfly effect of such changes could just make the present a whole lot worse! Assuming it wouldn’t make anything worse though, maybe the holocaust? I really don’t know!
  4. Why did you start blogging? Do you feel different about it now?
I started blogging to make all the billions of disorganized thoughts in my head, organised and “real”. I just wanted to have my thoughts presented in a more solid place than just inside my mind, and to have a place to feel free to express myself fully and truly. I don’t feel any differently about it now! I don’ t think my intentions will ever change 🙂
  5. What is the meaning behind your blog name?
Well, Storm is my name (and is also just a pretty cool world to have in the title of a blog, in my opinion,) and my blog is like a window into my perspective of the universe I suppose. Hence, “Storm’s Universe.”
  6. What is your current favorite song?
“Oh No!” – Marina and the Diamonds.
  7. If you had to just eat one dish for the rest of your life, what would it be?
    Vegetable fried rice.
  8. What is your biggest flaw?
    My neuroticism…
  9. Do you have a favorite series? Could be anything from books to tv shows.
    Star Trek.
  10. Did you keep your new years resolutions?
I don’t made new years resolutions – but I do give myself “Birthday Goals.” I have sort of passively tried to achieve them so far.
  11. Do you have any exciting plans for the future?
Yes, I do! I am going to Mallorca on the 29th for 12 nights 🙂 Very, very excited! Me and my partner shall be staying in a gorgeous little guest house thing with a pool (and a really nice bath.) I shall also be beginning my Astrophysics degree in September which is pretty awesome. Nothing else exciting has a date set for it to occur, but there are many exciting things I hope to happen soon 🙂

Okay guys, I don’t mean to be a party pooper but I’m not going to think up of 11 questions or tag anyone just yet. I have lots to do today but I promise I will get around to it when I have time! I hope you enjoyed reading my post regardless 🙂

Heya!

I’ve been nominated for this award by Lise at Lushtivity. Thank you lovely!

Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Share 7 facts about yourself.
  • Nominate up to 10 other bloggers of your choice.
  • Link your nominees and let them know of your nomination.

Seven facts about me:

  • I left school when I was 14 years old! I just hated school, so I pestered to be taken out until my mother agreed to it! I was technically home educated, but didn’t hold any official qualifications of any kind until I had finished my year at college when I was 20 years old, after deciding to pursue an education at 19 years. During that year, I took GCSE Mathematics, GCSE English and an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Biological Sciences.
  • My family moved to Bulgaria when I was 15 years old. Around 10 days after moving there, I found a litter of abandoned puppies. I did my best to take care of them, feeding them goat’s milk from a baby bottle. Unfortunately they all died shortly after, apart from one. I named him Pippin, and he was my companion for the 4 years that I was in Bulgaria! I didn’t have other friends while living there, but Pippin kept me company! He died one winter, just a few months before I flew back to the UK.

  • While living in Bulgaria, me and my family lived in a mansion! It was an ex-government building of some sort. We lived in a little village in the East of the country. I loved how peaceful and natural my life was there – I miss it very much!

  • I live in an adorable flat in North London with my partner! We’ve lived together for pretty much the entire 4 years that we have been together. I first moved into his mother’s home when we were 19 and were just buddies, and we started renting our flat together last September.

  • I have never, ever had a tattoo – but I really want one!
  • I wear glasses, full time, 100%! I actually really can’t see too well without them, and the only reason most of my photos are of me without them on is either because my glasses were broken/lost at the time or because I took them off for the purpose of the photo.
  • My hair has been a lot of different colours in the past. Red, purple, black, burgundy, orangey, bright blonde, blonde with purple, black with purple, natural with a black fringe, magenta… I started dying my hair when I was 12 years old – the first time was just my natural hair with some permanent purple splodges in there (I thought that looked really cool.) 3 years ago I decided to dye and cut my hair one last time, before growing my hair natural. It has been completely natural since around a year ago, after having it dyed for 10 years!

I really can’t be bothered to nominate anyone honestly. It takes me a while to link up everyone’s sites – if you are reading this and want to have this award and do this tag, go ahead!
