The Lush products I won’t review.

Hello readers! 🙂

I am back with another Lush post, so if Lush isn’t your cup of tea, this is your warning!

Not too long ago, I had never really stepped foot in a Lush store – I thought it was far too much of a luxury brand for me to be able to afford anything in there. I also didn’t really have any interest in luxury cosmetics – I was pretty happy with my £1 shower gels.

I first started buying stuff in there when I needed gifts for females – it seemed like a place where girls would generally enjoy being bought gifts from, so that’s what I did. I then started being bought gifts from there myself – and although I loved them, still thought I couldn’t really afford to buy that stuff for myself. I got a bit curious and looked at the Lush website one day, and found myself 3 products that I really wanted to give a go (Coalface, Imperialis and the Toothy Tabs.) I ventured to the store, and came out with one of the products I planned to buy as well as two completely different products – as she advised against the products I originally wanted (Coalface, Popcorn Lip Scrub and Ocean Salt – Self Preserving!)

I then did some research on Lush, and discovered it was the top high street store in the UK for having happy customers – this fact really got me hooked to the idea of shopping at Lush in the future. I started exclusively buying gifts for my female friends from here. I began branching out and trying out more products from their range

I’ve become somewhat of a collector, and now want to have everything in their range of products! There are a few products that I don’t want to try though, and that’s why I decided to make this blog post series. I eventually want to have tried all the products that I’d like to try, and to have narrowed down my favourite products to one of each type for me to buy regularly (i.e. 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner etc.) The only way I feel that I can really do this is by reviewing each product once I have completely finished them up, using them how they should be used, which is what I have been doing!

I thought I’d write a post on the products that I won’t be reviewing, that are available on the website: https://uk.lush.com/

This might seem a little bit random, but some of the reasons behind me not wanting to review these products I feel may be of some value to fellow Lushies. The products I have chosen to not review are generally either bath products or are non-vegan.

This post will only be including Lush’s products under the Body category, so that it will be a little shorter.

—————————————————————

Products>Body>Bath

First of all, we have the bath bombs. I would be more specific and list individual products, but that wouldn’t change anything. I won’t review any of the Lush Bath Bombs. Now, I understand that for some people, they are absolutely amazing, but me buying one would be an absolute waste – I do not have access to a bath! Although there is a bath in the house I am living in (someone’s en-suite), it is not mine and I can’t really use it… So, no bath bombs for me unfortunately!

This unfortunately means that I also will not be reviewing any of Lush’s Luxury Bath Oils,  Bubble Bars or Fun.

I am sure one day I will own a bath and will be able to review these products, but for the time being, no bath products!

I can easily use the soaps in my shower however, so I do plan to review all of them, with the exception of the ‘Honey I Washed The Kids Soap’. Again, I’m sure this soap suits plenty of people, but because it contains both beeswax and english honey, I will not be reviewing it. I am vegan for ethical reasons, so I do my best to avoid using any products that contain ingredients that have been taken from animals. Again, maybe one day I will change my mind, but for the time being, no ‘Honey I Washed The Kids Soap’ review!

Products I have purchased and am currently reviewing from this section: I Love You Mum Soap, Old Father Time Soap, Layer Cake Soap, Baked Alaska Soap, Respect Your Elders Soap, Yog Nog Soap, Sunrise Soap.

Products I have reviewed from this section: Reindeer Rock Soap, Snowcake Soap

Products>Body>Shower

I plan to review all of the shower gels and jellies, apart from the ‘It’s Raining Men Shower Gel’ and the ‘Whoosh Shower Jelly’. Whoosh contains honey water, and It’s Raining Men contains honey, so neither are vegan and I won’t be reviewing them anytime soon.

All of Lush’s shower smoothies and conditioners are fine, and I plan to review them all in the future.

For the scrubs and butters, I will be reviewing them all apart from the Ocean Salt products (to be used for the body.) I personally believe these products are intended to be used on the face primarily, and I prefer to use them in this way, so I won’t be reviewing them as body products!

Products I have purchased and am currently reviewing from this section: Bouncy Bunny Shower Jelly, Refresher Shower Jelly, Beautiful Shower Gel, Rose Jam Shower Gel, Snow Fairy Shower Gel.

Products I have reviewed from this section: N/A

Products>Body>Cleansers

Now, these are all also included in the section for facial cleansers, and I do feel they are primarily meant to be used on the face, so I do not intend to use them for my body. I’m sure this works well for some people, maybe I will try it some day but I doubt it really!

Products I have purchased and am currently reviewing from this section: (I do not use them as body cleansers, so N/A.)

Products>Body>Lotions

These are all vegan, and so I plan to review them all in the future.

Products I have purchased and am currently reviewing from this section: Celebrate Body Lotion, Tropical Jungle Lotion

Products I have reviewed from this section: N/A

Products>Body>Hands

From this category, Lemony Flutter, Helping Hands and Elbow grease are all only vegetarian and not vegan, so I will not be trying out those 3! Lush’s other 5 products for the hands are vegan, and I shall be reviewing them all!

Products I have purchased and am currently reviewing from this section: N/A

Products I have reviewed from this section: Love and Light Hand Cream

Products>Body>Feet

Pink Peppermint, Softy and Elbow Grease are not vegan, so I will not be trying them in the future – I will give the other products in this section a go though!

Products>Body>Massage

I will not be reviewing any products that can’t be used up from Lush, such as tins. I just don’t find them very fun! This means I won’t be reviewing the Oval Tin.

Soft Coeur and Mange Too are not vegan, so I will not be reviewing them in the future. I will review the rest at some point though.

Products I have purchased and am currently reviewing from this section: Dirty

Products I have reviewed from this section: N/A

Products>Body>Shaving

Annoyingly enough, none of the products in this section are vegan apart from the Five O’Clock Whistle shaving cream. I will only be reviewing this product from the shaving section.

Products I have purchased and am currently reviewing from this section: N/A

Products I have reviewed from this section: N/A

Products>Body>Tints

I don’t think I will be buying any of these any time soon, mainly because I’m not keen on the idea of applying makeup type products to my body. There is definitely a chance I might try them in the future, but not any time soon!

Products>Body>Deodorants

I’d love to give all of these products a try!

Again, I’d love to give all of these products a try.

That’s all for this post! My next post will be on which of Lush’s facial products I will not be using!
